I think I may have bradykinesia. I can't tap my fingers as quickly with my left hand as with my right, same goes with my left foot. My kicks in my left leg ( I do karate) aren't as quick anymore. I do a double kick where I kick first with my right then with my left, but it's gotten to the point I have trouble landing properly because of the delay now of my left leg. Does anyone know If lyme causes bradykinesia or similar problems? I'm concerned. -Tim

I dont know if lyme causes that...but I have that too. Causes problems typing, playing piano and walking.
Lyme treatment, plus physical therapy has helped.
Since lyme affects the motor control and other brain functions...im sure this could be a side effect of lyme.
Of course, so could other things

Whatever it may be that causes that, I do believe it is reversible.
I have taken Muay Thai for a while( before being sick) and they gave up on me being able to use my LEFT side for anything more than blocking, I could just NOT coordinate no matter what I did.
Joking around the other day with a friend, we started boxing around and I realized that I can actually hit and kick with my left side now. Oddly enough, my left side is what lyme attacked years after my martial arts.
