waiting and praying for a miracle
A triple whammy... not fun!
I heard a song the other day... and if you will excuse me.. I am going downstairs to find it so I can write down the words for you.
I've only heard it once.. and can't recall the exact words.. but when I read your post.. that is what I thought of, to do for you.
In the meantime..
Keep in mind.. Years ago I went from being to weak to walk at all... and actually had to crawl.
To walking 2 miles a day... every day.
So... there IS hope.. even if it seems overwhelming now.
Hang in there.. and please refrain from dancing till I get back.
OK?

I just lost the post I just did for you...
And didn't get the music due to distractions all day with folks in/out and phone calls coming in.
I am a TOAD!
Hang on.. be right back.
I am doing a search ... as we speak.. to see what I can do to help.
And of course my computer is slow as a turtle.. and I am waiting for sites to appear.
Ok... here goes...
The CRP test is to measure inflammation.
It is NOT specific for just heart problems.
See this info...
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The C-reactive protein (CRP) test is a blood test that measures the level of CRP in the blood. CRP is an inflammatory marker - a substance that the body releases in response to inflammation.
High levels of CRP in the blood mean that there is inflammation somewhere in the body.
Other tests are needed to determine the cause and location of the inflammation.
CRP has been widely reported as a possible key indicator of heart health. CRP levels will rise due to heart attack, stroke or other cardiovascular events.
***CRP levels rise in response to many illnesses and chronic diseases*** It can also rise in response to physical trauma (e.g., burns, fractures, surgery).
Because CRP levels are not specific to any one area of the body, some researchers have concluded that CRP testing is not as reliable as cholesterol, blood pressure and other risk factors in predicting cardiovascular disease in healthy people.
Patients who are scheduled for a CRP test will be asked not to eat or drink anything for 12 hours before the test.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I know you had a bad time with your stress test... but you must remember you are very ill with an infection that affects your strength and stamina.
Here is some more info..
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I recommend that you get a CRP test, and if your blood levels of CRP are high, look for a hidden infection.
Start with blood tests for Helicobacter (the germ that causes stomach ulcers) chlamydia, mycoplasma, and Lyme disease; and look for an infection anywhere in your body, such as gum inflammation or a urinary tract infection.
If you have high cholesterol and an infection, treat it.
If you have a high cholesterol and do not have an infection, try a diet low in refined carbohydrates and avoid bakery products, pastas, fruit juices and all foods or drinks with added sugars.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I recently posted about how to reduce inflammation in the body.
Perhaps it will help?
I will stop here and go find it.
By the way... my bet is you got few responses because of the title of the post. Many folks won't tackle subjects.. or even open them up if they don't know much about it.
On a good note, shes on the rock climbing team, and has recovered very well from the heart damage.
She is now off all cardiac medications.
You are seeing a cardiologist correct?
Sustaining meds are good to do while you fight the lyme.
(Of course ...when the lyme is gone...you may not need any more heart meds..and it would be a good idea to get off them at that time if your cardiologist says so!...~~giggles~~)
So, I will make sure Lishka gets on here this weekend and encourages you...meanwhile we will be adding you to our prayers
Love
Theresa
I will try to put out a new post to see if others can help you.
I will check back tomorrow night to see how you are doing... and see if the search button allows me to find the post on inflammation I just did.
Hang in there...
I will say a prayer.. and will be thinking about you!
Also, aren't you in the middle of a herx right now, and DMSA detox? The world always seems more hopeless during a herx, especially if it's hitting your neuro Lyme, and the mercury swirling around can cause a lot of temporary problems. You can and will heal.
First, are you taking Ketek at 800mg once a day? Because that dose may be way too high. I started out on 400mg a day, and had no problems. Then, this Sunday, I went to the full 800mg and had severe chest pains and breathing problems and passed out for two hours. So I cut back to just 200mg a day, and am having a lovely herx and feeling better already. I'm 4'11, and doctors are always prescribing these one-size-fits-all doses for big, burly men, not petite women.
Also, DMSA will back up your liver and kidneys very quickly, even if you don't feel it happening. You will just feel fatigued, and then all of a sudden your numbers go through the roof and you have no idea why.
Some stuff that has really helped me is 2-3 grams of NAC a day, 2-3 grams of broken cell wall chlorella, and alpha lipoic acid. Some other posters also mentioned activated charcoal as sort of an all-purpose super-vacuum, that will mop up the mercury in your system. The downside is it pulls all the necessary metals out of your body pretty quickly.
Also, are you doing liver flushes and milk thistle?
I havent had a problem with my kidneys since except for when I get WAY too many toxins stuck and I weened off my beta blocker a very very very long time ago.
Is there anything that they are going to give you to help with these symptoms/problems? Sure, lyme may have caused it, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with supportive measures! Don't try to tough out heart problems, they usually win!
I hope you feel better soon.
i know in the past this topic has been a touchy one, but you might also want to look into the Marshall Protocol if your current regimen isn't working for you.
i have tried the MP, and didn't really do too much one way or the other, but i know from reading posts on the yahoo site that alot of people are having good results.
the MP combines high doses of a blood pressure med called Benicar (to regulate the immune dysfunction) and low doses of abx to attack the bacteria.
here are the websites to look at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/marshallprotocol/
http://www.marshallprotocol.com/
http://sarcinfo.com/phorum/list.php?f=1
just an option to maybe look into.
thanks
