Luckily, my daughter and I have thick hair. I did not see bumps or balds spots on her. Am I over reacting? Do kids shed hair like that.
Please let me know what I should do!!!!!
PS I have yet to find a LLMD in my area, yes I posted. I live in the Houton area.
Sorry, can't help with your daughter, but I'm sure other Moms will soon stop by & offer advice.
You mentioned you still had not found an LLMD in Houston......
I checked your posting in Seeking Doctor & it's now moved to Page Two & showing 1 response.
Everyone probably thinks you've already
found a LLMD in Houston.
Maybe it might be good to post in Seeking Doctor again. The 0 replies will show you need more help.
(I think those postings in Seeking Doctor just move on down the page.)
Worth a try.

My LLMD, Dr. C of MO, who sees many of the posters here, says that in all his years of practice, that he has yet to see any of his patients loose all their hair and be bald.
I've had three, no make that 4 bouts with hairloss over the past several years. It comes on without warning and leaves just as quickly.
IMO, "This too shall pass."
I sincerely hope that you find a real LLMD soon,
Rosemary
This could just be one of those isolated incidences with kids but as you and I well know it could be a sign of something that needs medical intervention.
Ask the Dr. what could cause this and insist that they run test for every possibility. You gotta be pushy with the docs to get what you need
Dr. Jones said that was one of the symptoms of lyme. As soon as she started treatment the hair loss stopped.

If it has spread (systemic), she may have a Candida/Fungal infection of the scalp.
Both of the above situations could cause hairloss.
In addition to seeking the help of a professional, a diet change and heavy duty probiotics may eliminate the problem.
