I have frequent muscle twitches all over my body, but lately I get this feeling like ants are crawling on my skin especially on my forearms. Does anyone else get this? I also have twitching feelings on the palms of my hands & fingers.

I get crawling sensations on my head and in my spine. For awhile a few years back , I felt like I had lice and kept getting my husband to check my head. This is a common symptoms, there is another post on the board right now about this.

I am not sure what it is. Sun can cause mine to come. I think it can be parasites (lyme), yeast and some say a strange nerve thing.

It will come and go. That's what mine does.

Gremlins!!!!

I feel sometimes that aliens have invaded my body. I fell things crawling. My face tingles and get little pin sticks. Sometimes I can toch my face and move my hand away but there is still a strange sensation there for a few secons.

Vibrations in my face. And when I lay down at night and get still. I'ts like the party of the year going on in there. My ears buzz or ring. The house is totally quiet to everyone but me. Muscles jump, vibrations.
Makes me want to tell my body to knock it off so I can get some sleep!!!

Thanks for your responses.I wasn't sure if it was a symptom of Lyme or something else.

Dear Stephanie,

I've had Lyme for over 4 yrs now but it is the worst ever now and my forearms itch so bad I've scratched them til they bleed. Also the skin on my forearms feels like leather. I thought it was due to the Biaxin or Flagyl but maybe it's the spiroketes. Interesting to hear others with same symptom.

Scabies can cause this, it's a mite that bites you, sometimes not much of rash is present, easily treatable with a cream.

I feel that some of you need to be aware
of Morgellons and the symptoms with that
problem.
Sometimes you can have many of the common
symptoms of Morgellons without the lesions,
which can also vary.
Hopefully, none of you will develop this
scourge that my wife and I battled.

Thanks John for the site.

Stephanie, I got the crawling sensation for about 2 weeks, every day, all over my body. It happened after amalgam removals.

I'm on intense metal detox now. 'Crawling' has disappeared since I started that (for a week).

I also got skin lesions, but not itchy, also gone 100%. In my case, I think they were caused by metals. Only time will tell.

Stephanie,

You are experiencing paresthesias caused by interruption in nerve signals. You are not crazy and I began having these after contracting Lyme.

They have decreased since my treatment began for Lyme and I anticipate that they will continue to lessen with time.
