I have noticed significant hair loss since being on constant antibiotics for the past year. Anyone notice thinning during treatment? I am a young female so it's not like I have male pattern baldness.

Someone mentioned to me that a doctor told them that the constant antibiotics were throwing their amino acids all out of whack. It occurred to me that certain amino acids have a lot to do with hair. I'm wondering if the antibiotics are screwing up my amino acids and causing my hair to fall out. My LLMD is not sure that one of my infections (Have 3 probably 4) isn't causing it.

If you know anything about this please help!! It's really messing with my self image.

Well Hair loss is part of having lyme! Before I knew I had lyme disease, all sorts of terrible things started to happen to me.

Hair loss was just one of the many!! It comes and goes----yes, my hair......it comes and goes.

I've been promised by my llmd that I will NOT go bald from this disease

This question is currently the first page.

Here's the link to that post. And, be sure and check all the links in my response post to scld...this is very common and

YOU WILL NOT LOSE ALL YOUR HAIR, IT WILL GROW BACK, NO ONE CAN TELL YOU HOW LONG IT LASTS, MY LLMD HAS NEVER HAD A PATIENT LOSE ALL THEIR HAIR, I AM CURRENTLY IN MY 4TH BOUT WITH HAIRLOSS IN THE 2 & 3/4 YEARS OF BEING TREATED. It has always grown back.

Yeah, really there have been many posts on this subject and I put a lot of the links to those posts in the following link:

Im losing my hair right now. Its killing me because i dont have a lot of hair to begin with. I am a woman so i also no its not male pattern baldness.

Im taking biotin, hair supplements, and using Nioxin products. But, my hair still keeps coming out.

Hair loss can be a strong indicator of hypothyroidism in women. I'd have my TSH levels checked, just in case.
