Dear Math Professor:

These words will seem hollow because they are from me, but please know they are sincerely meant.

I would like to respectfully ask your forgiveness, for me being so cruel to you and doubting your honesty.

I was very wrong to denigrate you publicly when you had done nothing wrong.

I questioned your identity with such vile and unfounded statements.

Yes, I am ashamed of myself and very distraught over this situation which is entirely my fault.

I am deeply sorry for insulting you and the hurt I have caused.

There is no excuse for my behavior.

As a new member, you are the last person I would want to push away from this board.

You merely reached out for help, but I gave you what must feel like a slap in the face.

I have done exactly to you what I try to prevent outsiders from deliberately doing to new Lymenet members, which is to keep them from obtaining the very latest and factual information about Lyme Disease.

I do not want even ONE person to go untreated for Lyme.

I see great suffering on this board, yet I have failed you in my arrogance.

While mere words cannot undo the hurt I've caused, please do not let one unkind person steal a grand opportunity for you to be helped by the other, more experienced Lymenet members.

They can hand you a real life-line through this crisis in your life. The wealth of their knowledge is amazing. They're not only experienced, but they possess wisdom, as well.

My greatest hope is that you do not have Lyme Disease.

But while you're in the process of finding out, you still need someone in your corner.

Just trying to be heard by a doctor is hard enough.

Lyme Disease can devastate a life, so I hope you might possibly consider letting others on Lymenet help you all they can.

I will not interfere and will respect your space.

I have learned a lesson that I needed to be taught.

I will never again be so quick to judge another individual.

I have tried to teach my grown son to treat others with respect.

I told him that others may not always remember your exact words, but they will NEVER forget how you made them feel.

I will heed my own advice.

I can only say that for your sake, I wish this had never happened.

The sad irony is that I have never heard of Wormster before in my life. Yet, still I was too eager to make a false judgement against you.

Again, I am truly sorry.

Thank you for listening.

Respectfully,
Mrs. Janet Glosup

Recepie Girl-

A really sincere effort to correct a wrong.

Beautifully said and I am sure the math professor will forgive you.

It is always proof of integrity when one can stand up and admit they are wrong and apologize from the heart.

You did a superb job.

Chocolat

I do appreciate your comments.
I wish that I could see an LLMD immediately.
That is why I flew to NY. I'm trying to get help from anyone and everyone. Someone offered help and I jumped on a plane.
I have been trying to get an appointment with the LLMD in the suburbs of Chicago, but she is turning people away. I hear that there is a problem at that office causing the backlog, but as a new patient I was hoping she would squeeze me in. I have a very flexible schedule and I will do whatever it takes. I saw what happened to my brother last year and I do want any part of that. Plus with my ten year battle with osteitis pubis I'm worn out. Physically I doing okay, but emotionally I'm very tired.

Hi Math prof!

I just sent you something privately of an Illinois list of possible drs. Note explains the rest. Good luck.
Betty G., Iowa

Beautifully written apology note. Those of us with late stage lyme and esp. of neuro brain, react differently than those with early lyme where it hasn't affected the brain. We all say/write something we wished we would have never have opened up our mouths....too late.

That's the way it is with me too. So to all reading this, if I come across the wrong way on any of my replies or posts, please remember....many of us have it in the brain areas too. We do the best we can. Thank you for accepting us the way we are now...lyme infested.

Hi Professor,

Thanks for taking time to reply. I very much appreciate it.

Just want to say best wishes on finding just the right doctor and treatment. That is the hardest part------finding a doctor who cares as much about regaining your health as you do.

Going to the doctor is still brutal for me, especially for the first visit. Hope you get the very best of care.

This is Dr. C.'s website in St. Louis Missouri. He's given permission to use his name on the board. You sound like you have a great plan in action already, but if you ever need him, I'm sure he could help you.

This LLMD is very kind and cares deeply about his patients. He believes LD is just the tip of the iceberg, so he uses a comprehensive approach.

Here is his website which is also helpful with tons of information.

www.drcharlescrist.com

I read your post about specific blood tests that LLMDs might order so you could be sure your Lyme friendly Doctor orders everything correctly, but that is way over my head.

Wish I could help, but that's a hard one to answer.

I hope you're feeling back to your old self very soon.

Best Wishes,
Jan
