Well I guess ya'll are going to get tired of seeing me around.

Seems I did indeed pass it to all three kids. Dominic though did get reinfected at 3 years old.

Hannah's western blot from Igenex came back positive. Dr C called me Wed. I think I was in shock honestly. Because when I just got the paper work in and actually saw all the bands I just cried. It is just so hard to belive.

When Dominic was dx in May 2003 we felt like our world was turned upside down but now I just feel like it is staying that way and someone is shaking it.

I know, I know, I have a totally Great Dr and WE WILL BEAT THIS!!! Just needed a good cry too.

Anyway here are her results.

IGM
18kda ++
23-25 +++
30 +/-
31 kda ++
39 kda +/-
41 kda +/-
45 kda +/-
58 kda +/-
66 kda +

IGG
18 kda +/-
23-25 +/-
30 kda +/-
31 kda +/-
34 kda +/-
39 kda +/-
41 kda +++
45 kda +/-
58 kda ++
66 kda +/-

Need to call Dr C Monday to find out her protocal. This will be hard, she hates taking medicine, but she has seen what Dominic went through so that is a plus.

AHHHH, Can't think straight right now.

Amazing how the DUCKS work...IF i would of been dx right in my 20's it is possible they wouldn't have it now!!!! That is what pisses me off most of all!

sorry of the drepessing post/vent what ever you want to call it.

Thanks for being here I KNOW ya'll understand.

Cry all you want. It is justified. This is horrific enough to have it yourself but worse to see it in your children.

It appears I have passed it to all my children, too. My oldest daughter, 23, just tested positive. We will be testing the others after we get our insurance all straightened out.

There are a lot of 'what if's'. I feel terrible but at the same time glad that we have a good doctor and are getting treatment. I think of all those who still don't know what is wrong with them.

You are right, it turns your world upside down and then shakes it. I am trying to accept that life will never be the same again because of what we are going through. Even if we get better, the experience has changed us forever. That is not all bad.

Hope your daughter isn't in too much discomfort. That's the worst. I will pray for you and your family during this time of trouble.

Starr,
Feel free to vent, rant, rave, whatever you need to do. I know how you feel. I know it really sucks that if the doctors would have diagnosed you properly years ago, your children wouldn't have to suffer with this disease too.

I say this because I'm dealing with the same issues. My children are age 18 & 16. We just found out we all had lyme disease last year.

I'm very thankful for the fact that your children are younger when you got their diagnosis.

I wish I knew what to say to make you feel better... I feel for you and all the others who are in the same situation.

Don't lose hope - know that you are on the right track, and that there is treatment, and you finally know what you are up against.

Your children are very blessed to have a Mommy like you!

You are in my prayers.

I think you have every right to be pissed off!!!!!! So many doctors misdiagnose people, and they never think of the consequences of this. I am so afraid to have children because I don't want to pass this on either. I know you are heartbroken to see your children go through this as well, but just remember, it was diagnosed early in them. They have a chance to get well early in life! Hang in there and vent all you want. We are all here to listen!!!!!!!! Take care and good luck!

I feel for you! It's very frustrating and it's OKAY to cry!

My daughter is 8 and has had strange symptoms for 2 months (pretty sure she has lyme)and I'm testing her next week through Igenex.

Did your children have symptoms or did you just want to check since you have lyme?

Your right if the ducks would've known what to do, you wouldn't have had it so long.

Have had lyme for 29 years (I'm 41) and it angers me to.

Glad you got your children tested when they were so young and I'm sure they will be cured.

Hang in there!

Thanks for letting me vent/cry pour out my heart.

I know ya'll understand.

See I knew in my heart and soul they had it just felt it in my bones, even having Dr. C call and tell me the test was post. didn't hit me like seeing it in black and white.

Just lost it for a while. BUT will not let it over take me. Upward and Onward.

Dominic is doing good, I am still doing good at changing for the better and Hannah actually took the news pretty good.

She knows all about lyme, we never hid anything, so she understands.

Her only questions were if she was going to get as sick as Dominic and if she would need as many needles as he does.

I told her with us catching it this early she probebly won't get as sick as him and the only reason he had needles every 2 weeks was because of heparin and she doesn't need that yet.

HUGS to all who offered an ear, hugs and prayers, you guys are the greatest!!

Have a Happy and Safe Halloween.
Starr
