Unfortunately, I threw it away! I called my LLMD for another script, though she's on vacation until Wednesday.
I know I need to use more fluid and mix it better.
I must say that I got sleepy that night after taking it. And the next day, I felt better! I really felt a difference even with one dose. I did nothing else different. I even have a virus!
And, um, while I've been constipated for weeks just from the low-carb diet, I had a better "experience" today, and I think it was from the CSM, believe it or not.
I do have Citrucel if needed.
I also want to try a liver-support remedy called "Healty Liver." It contains alpha-lipoic acid, NAC (N-acetyl-cysteine), milk thistle, coQ10, high vitamins, like B's. I forget what else. I need all the support I can get!
I will Rife faithfully once a week. I am focusing on Babs right now. I'll do an Epsom salt, HOT, bath once a week, too.
I just have to get well. I plan to go to nursing school next year. And I really want a doggie!
(Right now, I'm sensitive to just about everything under the sun, and the sun, too!)

Also my daughter really had trouble with the CSM and had to do a reduced dose..She now takes WElchol but it is much weaker..Good luck.
Please respond.
Thanks
My doctor won't give me Actos. I asked about it.
Chocolat: CSM stands for cholestyramine, brand name is Questran. It is a cholesterol-binding drug that docs don't use often any more due to a preference for statins.
Some believe (most notably a doctor in Maryland) that the Lyme toxin binds to cholesterol. The CSM apparently flushes bile. Our bodies make more from our cholesterol, and the CSM pulls the toxin out, and it leaves through the colon.
Many swear by it for reduction of symptoms.

How about this for a fundraiser:
The Goumet Guide to Lyme Disease, by The Queasy Stomache Cuisine Queen.
CSM cocktail
Prune Juice with a twist.
The Mag/C "Chaser"
The "Keep it down" tea.
4 scoops a day is a lot. The first time I took CSM I started out at 3, had the headache from hell, stopped, then ramped up from 1 to 3 scoops over several weeks. Perhaps because we ramped up we managed without the actos. For lymies, CSM is a detox tool. Because it is thought to help mobilize toxins as well as help excrete them, it should be used as gently as all other detox protocols.
Actos is thought to be helpful in reducing herxheimer reactions and damping down the cytokine response, but it does not potentiate CSM itself. Actos has its own side effects.
One of my docs likes to use it; the other does not, based on patient response.
Minoucat: I appreciate the tips and humor! I also appreciate the validation about not necessarily needing Actos. My doctor isn't well-versed in the protocol, so that's why she didn't recommend it, I believe. Plus, I am on a low-carb diet. She thought it would lower my blood sugar dangerously.
I'll be only taking one dose a day (a packet, since I'm taking the generic). I'll start with 1/4 packet and ramp up to the full packet.
Angela: Thanks for offering your concerns and comfort. And I appreciate the tips about heartburn and constipation. I'll try the Citrucel, but if that doesn't help, I'll ask for sorbitol. I have samples of Aciphex I can use as needed for heartburn. I did have some heartburn/stomach upset after the full packet I took the other day, but it did go away quickly on its own. I was surprised.
The doc told me to take it with food, so I took it after eating. I guess I should take it slighly beforehand?
She only prescribed a month's worth. When I left a message about another prescription, I asked if she could give me a refill this time. I'd like to try it for two months. If I can only get one, it's better than nothing, I guess. I'm going to try that liver supplement, too.

Oh yes-now I connect. When my daughter was ill we contacted Richie S. about it but never did try it.
Lyme totally-I mean completely! shut down her gastro system-no peristalsis at all-it has done the same to me. She is working pretty well now but has to take 8-10 Turkey Rhubarb a night to "go".
It doesn't agree with me so I am now having to do what she did-nothing has helped. Not magnesium-laxatives-not ANYTHING.
I pray for an answer to this. Haven't tried Sorbitol.
Makes detox hard when even the enemas don't work some days.
Toilet talk--sorry but reality.
The talk of constipation led me to this. With us the docs call it total obstipation.
Hard to take day after day.
Thanks again-
Choc.
I pray, too, that you find something suitable. I think the sorbitol might be helpful.
Angela: I'm glad that you shared your caring concern about Actos. Please don't feel badly about that.
Rife it, baby, will take place today! For me, Babs. For the floor, mold!
Steph
Thanks for the encouragement. I stay afraid that if this isn't solved I will have an obstruction or something. Also, my daughter wants to get pregnant. The docs warn her not to even think about it any time soon since her Lyme is back and you can't take 10 herbal laxatives a night when P.G.
If the sorbitol works you all will be the cause of a true miracle!!!! I will leave a dollar to you both in my will--well--thats all I have. LOL??????
Hope I can find it but if it takes an RX., I know my MD will write one.
On the search tomorrow for it and will let you know.
Does it cause cramping, bloating or nausea?
Hope someone returns to this post so I can let you know what happens. If it works, Iwill be estatic. Think if I have to look or USE an enema tube on a daily basis much more, I will go stark raving crazy.
Toilet talk is getting easier. Love the grandmother story!!!
Chocolat
they put it in the sugar free recces peanut butter cups. theres a warning on the back that it might cause a laxative effect
I ate about 7 and had cramps from hell, sweats, and watery diharrea 3 times,
hope this helps
