Goodmorning!!

Thanks to those who replied to my questions last night. i wasn't able to get on-had a terrible chest pains again around 10 or a little earlier-

My mom was thinking that this could possible be my gallblatter-it's more of pain right at the end of my diaphram. Like breathing problems, and laughing and talking.

How do they test to find out if it is a gallblatter problem?? I would think my doctor would have told me if there was some high or abnormal numbers-since my liver enzymes were pretty high.

I was able to get up and go upstairs-but had pain from about 930 or 10ish til at least around 1-I think I finally got to sleep then-and I woke up this morning at 5:50-

My diaphram or right below my chest is really tight all across-I'm not too sure what to do or how to go about finding out things-my dad and I are doing some research-my dad stayed home today to make sure I'm doing okay.

I've been on Rocephin for almost about a year-2gm, I've been on doxy, biaxin and flagyl-I think that's it but I'm not sure-

Anyone think that's too long for meds or the same ones or any suggestions on regimine....???

Thanks

Jenn

Its normal to have to take meds for eternity BUT doxy and flagyl shouldnt be taken together if I recall correctly? You can do a google search on that, but tetracycliines and flagyl, to the best of my lymed knowledge

do not mix.

Your liver enzymes being high could very well indicate gallbladder problems (WHICH BY THE WAY ARE VERY VERY COMMON WITH ROCEPHIN) Do they have you on actos?

They dont have a test to test your gallbladder in the areana of bloodwork, they DO look at liver enzymes for this.

Been there, done that, lost the gallbladder and got the scans to use it.

A simple xray picked up my seven stones. In the case of "Gallbladder sludging" Maybe a hida scan. I dont know. I got lucky, the xray was the first test I had done.

One more thing- the pain you are having in that area IS gallbladder area. Does it ever shoot out your back or up into your shoulder blades?

Hi Jenn,

Glad you are feeling better.

May I suggest instead of starting new threads, to just continue on what you started?

The reason I say this is because more details are in 2 different spots, and folks are able to help you better if they are able to read ALL the health problems in one thread. Best wishes to you.

Welcome to the board. If no one has directed you to TINCUP'S links for new members, please bookmark it....full of good info for all members; new and oldies!

Yes I've gotten Tincup's things many times-I'm not able to sit up and read that often-

That's why I was just wondering what protocol some people would recommend for what's been going on for me-and then what kinds of foods I should be eating or if they thought this was a gallblatter problem or liver-

Thanks

Jenn

Hi Jenn,
Sorry to hear that you're having so many problems- been there, done that! I'm on Rocephin also- 2 grs 3 x's a week. I don't have a gallbladder though as it was taken out when I was 20- before all this mess.

The only way I know that they can see if you have a problem is to do a sonogram to see if you have stones or if it's swollen. Apparently, Rocephin is known for gallbladder probs so i would check it out. I had severe pain in the middle of my stomach- like slightly below my rib cage running along my back. The pain would put me in bed for HOURS. Look into it and feel better.

Read your question, number one have her put a hand on your back and one on your chest and press against you if it hurt like hell you have an inflamed rib cage, the infection can get there, regular OTC anti-inflamitories such as motrin will help, as for the liver enzymes always had the same problem take plenty of milk thistle (pretty cheap)and always drink tons of water, of course try and stay away from sugar or diet drinks with the asparitine or whatever in them I hope this helps it's worked for me before good luck
