Hi,

They must have had a cancellation as they have moved my knee scope up to Nov. 17th. I'm a little uneasy, wondering if this will through me backwards again. Not sure how much farther backwards I could go at this point.

God Bless You,

Pam

My husband had laproscopic knee surgery when he was pretty lymie. It did set him back some -- he's had a very hard time with anaesthesia since he's been sick. But the surgery helped his knee tremendously.

I don't know how best to recover/detox after anaesthesia -- anybody?

best of luck.

yes don't ever have general anesthsia unless having open heart surgery .you have a 5% risk of death from general anesthesia.
have the doc use iv sedation and local anesthesia. i used it in my offic efor years with almost no side efects.
the new stuff verset and demerol is great you don't remember anything, they give you a block possibly spinal but you don't remember and you wake up refreshed and like you had slept for years. no drowsiness no vomiting no tube down the throat, no being sick for 3 days.
i have all procedures done with iv sedation.
i just had my achilles tendon repaired with iv sedation, don't remmeber even going into the surgicenter. great stuff.
you don't need to be asleep for 99% of surgeries, so why take the risk.

B333, Be VERY careful with OrthoDucks. They LOVE steroids to reduce inflamation and know little about how they effect Lymies.

Good luck with your surgery.

Hope your knee is greatly improved by the surgery! docdave had some good info there....and yes, be sure to tell the duck about the steroids.

Doesn't Vitamin C help detox? then there's Xango.

Yeah, I knew not to use the anestesia. I'll try to remember to ask for the new stuff versus the demorol. Do you happen to know what it's called? They talked like he gives nitrous oxide and shots to numb.

The last one I had removed would not numb and they used the nitrous oxide and it was the absolute worst pain I have ever had....nothing came close to it.

As far as the steroids, I had 14 years of Prednisone to treat my RA before they knew I had Lyme.

Lymetoo, Dr. C. marked this dentist as one of the best to care for lyme patients teeth. Guess it wouldn't hurt though to remind him. If you find out what I need to use afterward for detoxing, please let me know.

Thanks to all and God Bless You,

Pam

the new stuff is verset and demerol cocktail along with nitrous. they need to give you local lidocaine either spinal or block with tourniquet becauseit is sedation and not anesthesia .
you won't feel it because you'll be awake but in lala land.

This same Dr. did both my sons feet. He was born with billateral club foot. He's an excellent Dr. I go see him today and will ask him about this combination and see what he says.

Thanks and Blessings,

Pam
