If anyone here can tell me which of these two insurances is more lyme friendly, it would be a great help to me.
thanks,

Yikes - no one's replied. I guess insurance is a dirty word around here.
While I don't have Lyme experience with Aetna, I do have Oxford, and they've graciously paid for every treatment I've submitted.
About the only thing they were 'stinky' on was the IgeneX Western Blot - IgeneX treats the IgG and IgM as two separate tests, so I only got $80 back on a $180 bill. I fought it and lost.
Everything else they've reimbursed me for. But, then again, I haven't done IV.
Up for more responses.

I haven't had on ounce of trouble with Aetna. But I've never had IV and I'm in a group plan. In other words, they can't dump me. I've had 4 yrs of antibiotics, in case you're wondering; and my WB was not CDC positive.

I have Oxford, secondary to Medicare. Neither paid for my IV treatment. I don't know if Oxford would have paid if I could have used Rocephin, the treatment of choice at the center. Medicare would have. I had to use doxy, due to allergy. Since it was medically necessary, I was surprised that neither one covered it. Steph
