Hi All, Who has taken Plaquinil & Probenecid together along with antibiotics? Can you explain in lay terms for this cognitively impaired what exactly they do?. I am also taking 300 mg Doxycycline + 4 Augmentin daily and just picked up the 2 new Rxs P&P.
1. Probenecid for gout or like arthritis I have read. Walgreen flier says do not take Probenecid with Augmentin. Why? My LLMD has prescribed. Must be the clavulanic acid? I guess I really don't understand uric acid or clavulanic acid to make sense of this.
2. Plaquenil flier says for lupus ..but my acupuncturist looked up about interfering with parasite replication. Sounds good if that's Bb.
Just kind of scary to add new meds ..especially be taking 4 meds at time. So thanks for any elucidation you can offer. "elucidation" where'd that word come from in this brain ..hee hee. xo Diana
