My 13 year old daughter's Lyme doctor just took her off Mepron and Zithromax and wants to start her on "Tindamax". I can't find any information regarding the use of Tindamax to treat Lyme. Has anyone else heard of this drug being used for Lyme Disease? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated!!

Tindamax is the same thing as Tinidazole. Previously it was only available in the US as a compounded medicine. Tindamax is the new brand name.
Many have used it for the cyst form of Lyme. It doesn't kill the spirochetes as far as they know, but it forces the cysts back into spirochetal form so that another antibiotic can kill it.
If you do a search you will find lots of information, even from the last few days.
