I know alot of people have insomnia, but does anyone sleep and gets heavy into dreams constantly that then they wake they are completely disoriented even more so. The whole day, I feel like lost identity and I just go from minute to minute - this has gotten worse the last two weeks. My therapist put me on a low dose of provigil to improve wakefulness to promote better quality sleep. I'm on rocephin and just started zithromax Monday. Got off flagyl last week. Does this happen to anyone?
If so, what do you do?

Also, my stomach's not holding out much this week. I've doubled on acidophilus, minimizing yeast, but since zithromax, not having much luck. I'd appreciate any input.

Thanks in advance.

Cigi

Hi Cigi,

What degree of Magnesium supplementation (and associated B-vitamin supplementation) are you doing?

I believe there's a link between Magnesium and serotonin production and am presently taking over 600mg of Magnesium spread over the course of the day, with my last two pills right before I go to sleep. I have found my sleep to improve along with my sense-of-self on wakeup.

Hope this helps,
Brian

Hi Cigi-

The magnesium connection is interesting.

The other thing you might want to think about is sleep apnea. Sleep apnea can be made worse by GERD (acid reflux)...the GERD can be made worse by the abx and the yeast.

I know there have been a bunch of discussion threads on this board about sleep apnea, GERD and yeast so you might want to try a search and take a look at some of them.
