I ask because I got lyme from my husband last year. He also tested positive for babesia and we both did the mepron/zith protocol for 5 months. The doctor gave me the option to do this even though I tested negative.

Fast forward 6 months, I have the little red spots on my arms and some on my stomach, this is called petultia (sp?), and still have some dizzyness about once or twice a week for about 10 seconds at a time. My heart beats really hard and sort of fast, sometimes at night I can really hear it. I do not have night sweats, but get really hot sometimes at night.

I am thinking I might have had babesia, treated it and now it is back. The only way I could have gotten it is from my husband.

Has this happened to anyone eles?

That aside, I would say it's "possible" to get it from a spouse. I'm just guessing tho. You can do a search of past discussions on this by clicking on the little blue word "search" in the upper right hand corner of this page.

Your symptoms definitely sound like the babs has returned. I had to treat it over and over for the past 4 1/2 yrs. Don't give up.

You might want to try artemisinin.
