I think my new pain might be gallbladder related, but not sure.

So for those with experience in this - if it is a gallbladder problem, can one symptom of that be discomfort/some pain a couple of seconds after swallowing - when food is going down foodpipe?

Apart from my high up right-sided pain under ribs and now also out back, next to my right shoulder blade and spine - I get this rubbing type pain a few seconds after I swallow, Just at the point where the right and left ribcages meet, a little up and a tiny bit to the right.

Biaxin and Bicillin.

I am equally worried there is something growing in my esophagus or something because from ths picture it looks like foodpipe crosses behind right lung right were I get the pain........and I get the pain ALSO a couple of seconds after swallowing.

Thanks for reply and pics.

It could be the gall bladder. The pain can go way up. My worst pain was right at the sternum. I thought it was just very bad acid reflux.

The other pain you describe concerning the shoulder and under the ribs is pretty classic for gall bladder pain.

The esophageal pain could be spasms in the esophagus. I get that too and it was really bad when my gall bladder was at its worst.

Taking pills became quite a problem, because my esophagus would go into spasm each time I swallowed the pills. It didnt' do that as much when just eating.

Why don't you watch your diet and not eat fats or spicy stuff for a few days. See if the pain is any better.

Also for the esophagus....don't drink cold drinks. Room temp for everything. See if the spasms go away. [if that's what they are]

I know I had swallowing problems with a couple different abx's doxy was one it just felt like the pill was stuck in my throat needed way more water and acidophilis but dont take acidophilis for at least 2 or 3 hrs before or after my intake of the I increased to 5 acidophilis at a time, yeast can cause it also. I would still tell LLMD about though they can check your throat just incase.

Thanks guys.

I am not eating much anyway, but will reduce fats. Have to have some with the Mepron.

I did see the nurse practitioner after calling my doctor this morning (not my LLMD) - he was too busy today to see me so he said see the nurse practitioner.

Well, she doesn't know what it is and said MAYBE gallbladder, but she said that gallbladder would not cause the kind of pain a couple of seconds after I swallow.

So, where I am at right now is that she said she will tell my doctor when he's free, exactly what I said about my symptoms, and he is supposed to call me. Frankly, I don't see how they can dx something like that over the phone!

But, things are generally much more "relaxed" (shall we say) in the UK......nobody suggests tests or scans until you've well and truly suffered a while.

I don't want to call my LLMD as he's 3,500 miles away anyway - he will just tell me to see my GP (I think).
