What doses you consider helpful for Lyme?

Hi!
MyLLMD said that he thought that basically Cat's Claw wouldn't hurt but wouldn't kill lyme either.I took it for about 5 months and can't say it did anything miraculous.Others may have different ideas and results but basically I think it is just another desperation remedy.

Take care,Sue from Downunder.

Hi all!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Cat's Claw also known as Samento is NOT a desperate remedy! It is for real! Just do a search on it on the medical board and read.

I just read a study done with it that found it more effective than antibiotics. It comes from the rain forest in Peru and so does alot of your antibiotics that are made. We need all the help we can get so don't knock it until you read more about it

If you do decide to try this, try Samento Extract made by NutraMedix. This is a liquid, and you need to start very slowly. Take 1 drop in water (the directions are on the bottle) twice a day to start. Then you can increase slowly from there. Expensive, but worth the price.

Frankly, I have found that the alternative methods of treatment have been superior to the traditional treatment. One thing to do as well is to make sure you are fighting this thing from the inside out. Meaning, beef up your nutrition. Consider having an ION panel to identify vitamins/minerals/supplements you need to concentrate on in your pursuit of wellness. Mg., CoQ10, B vitamins all very important.

I took saventaro three times a day, and found it very helpful, but not for the reasons I thought. It seemed like a good maintenance drug for neuro Lyme symptoms, and improved my functioning from "bleary" to "coherent, able to get to work reasonably on time."

Recently, I found out that I have a massive case of bartonella, and the cat's claw probably worked because it's related to the quinolone antibiotic family.

I currently am doing the Cat' Claw regime, and just had run out of the med for a week. I dont' know if it's my desperation, but I think it must be doing something. My 1 ankle have started to feel chill'd as a nerve has gone numb. I am not moving about as I had perviously done, and the TN I have has really come to the surface!
I had started out doing Cat's Claw in Oct 04, and after a couple of day's I REALLY had a Herx. My problem was that I didn't understand how much a Herx could rip the desire from my life. I asked the DR, and he agreed that I should stop the C-C for a few day's.
The first time I was instructed to take Ten (10) drops with each meal, but after stopping C-C and calming down from the Herx, I read the bottle which say's Five (5) drops under the tongue before meal's.
I later had read somewhere on the Web that C-C isn't as potent as thought, maybe that why my Dr prescribes 10 drop'?
Can you tell I'm a little confused?

Treepatrol has named him/her as a TROLL in the l0th reply in the following link:

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/030829.html

TROLLS are huge time wasters whose only aim is to cause eventual KAOS on the board.

Do not feed the Trolls.

It was not helpful at all for me. More $ down the drain.

I just finished 2+ months of Saventaro. I don't think it did too much other than to help with inflammation. I am taking a break as of today just to see if it makes a difference.

My experience with both Saventaro and SAMENTO is very positive. I took Saventaro ( which is 20mg of TOA free Cat's Claw) 3 times per day until I built up a tolerance. Then I took Samento ( which is 600mg per capsule) once a day and then 2 or 3 capsules a day, for about 3 months. It really cleared up my symptoms. Now I am off all things, but if I begin to feel any symptoms, I take one capsule of SAMENTO and I feel much better. So, I think this has really helped me... Laczi
