Can I have fresh corn on the cob while on a Candida diet? Is it too starchy? I hate most vegetables and I'm looking for something. I think I'm one of those ``super taster'' people and green vegetables taste like #2. Literally!

treepatrol is right, corn is loaded with sugar, that is why is tastes so good, but then so are beets and many people hate them, so are carrots also.

There is a reason corn is used to make moonshine and its cuz its has so much sugar that easily converts to alcohol.

It will do the same thing in you and feed the yeast.

Corn is not a vegetable its a starch.

Well, technically, corn is a vegetable that has a high glycemic value because of the starch content and how it is metabolized.
Peas, carrots and tubars and many many other vegetables also are high in starch.

Some people can tolerate corn on the Candida diet. I don't seem to have too much trouble with it or with peas.

There is starch in just about every vegetble. It just breaks down differently depending on which veggie it is and how your body metabolizes it.

Try it. If it doesn't work toss it in the pile of not-to-eat foods.

Catch 22, it's high in sugar, but it contains (2) nutrients essential for our eyes.

??? electomagnetically balanced??? Wish I knew. Sugar, like minerals, has a + charge. IF, balanced with - charges (PLURAL!), it MIGHT be okay.

This combo produces hydrogen. And hydrogen INactivates PFK...an enzyme that is "rate limiting" for glycolysis (using sugar for energy, not oxygen). Bb is PFK dependent.

Same with honey. It is a NATURAL ANTIBIOTIC. It contains sugar, but also contains a LOT of B (no pun intended) vitamins which are acidic.

Dark maple syrup too (as above). Loaded and balanced with essential nutrients.

Curious:

glucagons:
A HORMONE responsible for helping maintain proper blood sugar levels.

``PFK1 can be INHIBITED by H, ATP, glucagons , citrates, and H2O2 and PFK2(liver) is inhibited by glucagons and epinephrine. They are ACTIVATED by insulin.''

Sooooo many questions...sooooooo complex!

Do you have dentures?

You may have a slight problem eating a good ol corn on the cob if thats the case.

Otherwise, I think you are suppossed to nix corn completely and then GRADUALLY add it back in.

If it doesnt make ya feel sick, go fer it.
