If you use garlic for cooking or as a therpeutic tool in an attempt to kill bacteria, fungi, candidas, viruses, reduce your cholesterol, and all these wonderful things clean garlic does, be sure you use only

Certified Organic Garlic which has been freeze dried to maintain is alliin content.

Since garlic has a high affinity for toxins, commercially grown garlic is often loaded with pesticides and heavy metals.

We used to use a certain garlic that used to be clean. We do not use it any longer.

So be sure that you use only the good stuff, certified organic. After all - we want to get rid of the toxins - not ingest more.

Robi, we use Biopure now, which is the only certified organic that is around anywhere that I could find. (1-800-801 6187). I use it for our four-legged family member also -
Dr. K. tests all the agents he uses for patients - he keeps a close eye on it (he uses it himself and family) and that's enough for me.

Take care.

Shelley, that's a great idea. I have thought about that. But I have done all I want to do for a while; want my garlic in my suitcase when we go places. Not even my chives live through the winter. I also would not want to take a chance at losing the allicin releasing potential which is assured with the freeze-drying process (20,000 ppm allin content).

And I do not want to eat it raw - or cooked every day. We do take it as a preventive supplement - we like fish, we live on this earth. I am not taking a chance at another bout with heavy metals!!!!

Biopure also have a tincture - some people use it for detox. But I have been told that it is not as effective as an anti-microbial agent.

Take care.

Does that mean my garlic oil gel caps are only good for making me have "savory" burps?
