Hi,
WildConder talked to me a while back. I have problems with my BP dropping. I have an appt on the 5th with a cardiologist to have a tilt table test. to test for Lyme indused neuraly mediated hypotention.
So yes Lyme can effect your BP. I don't have much info for you cause I am new and don't have alot of research info but by putting this back up top maybe someone will respond. If not do a search for Wildcondor and email her or make a post for her to see if she responds. She may be a bigger help to you.

Yes, it certainly does affect BP.
Mine was averaging 190/109 before I started treatment. After IV therapy I dropped down to zombie level. I tend to be hypotensive now, but that is getting much better with Babs treatment.

thanks for your experiences...Ive been on abx for 1 1/2 years....but my blood pressure has gone way up....higher than I ever had before...also with this skin reaction I feel like theres something going on with my immune system fighting this darn illness...Ive been told by another lyme friend that it affects blood pressure but shes the only one Ive heard that from and hers is normal so I didnt know if it was good advice...everytime I think Im making progress with this illness I get something else...I pray we all get some kind of cure for this rotten illness that ruins so many lives....sick of hearing "you look good or sound so much better when Im not" youd think I would like the compliment but its like they dont believe Im so sick..I know this has been discussed on here before..just venting...thanks all...jan

I have this too. I was told it was indicative of a systemic nervous system problem--which is consistent with my other symptoms. My BP never gets THAT high, although I am only 22 and it does jump up to 160/80. The next day it can be as low as 100/80. Only the top number fluctuates enough to make mention of. Interesting that it could be Lyme related...

Yes it effected my blood pressure as well. I have had it read as high as 190/111 and before this it was always perfect I am a runner and bp was always 120/75 before. I feel it has somehow effected my cholesterol levels as well. They were always good before and it is not in my family.
