I am hoping to get some feedback on how to optimize the timing of the medications/vitamins I take throughout the day. I'll apologize in advance for the length of the post.

Below is the order in which I currently take everything:

1. At wakeup: Multi-vitamin, magnesium, cordyceps, garlic, ginko, ginseng, b-complex (with a slimfast so that I don't lose them).
2. Approx 1 hour later: 2625mg Amox, 200mg Zithro, 1 ADP (Oil of Oregano), 8 drops of Samento.
3. Before Lunch: 1 Probiotic (Pro5 - Klaire Labs), 1 Saccharomyces (Florastor), 8 drops of Samento
4. With Dinner: Evening Primrose Oil, Fish Oil, CoQ10, Calcium.
5. Before bed: 2625mg Amox, 200mg Zithro, 1 ADP, 8 drops of Samento.

So here is what I know:
Samento - Should be taken on an empty stomach.
Florastor - Should be taken on an empty stomach and at least an hour away from ADP.
Zithro - Should be taken 1 hour away from Magnesium.
Probiotic - Should be taken 3 hours away from Abx.
CoQ10 - Should be taken with fat containing foods.

Here is what I don't know:
- Should I be trying to get a mid-day Amox dosage (I remember something about the half-life)? If so, were do I fit the probiotic?
- I remember reading something about the timing of Calcium and Magnesium supplements. Should I be taking them together? I had the Calcium at night because I vaguely remember something about Calcium and sleep (which is my biggest problem).

Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe.

I always take cal and mag together because they work better together.

I have also heard that magnesium helps with sleep better than cal. Someone said that they take calcium oratate before bed because it hepls them sleep sooo much better. Haven't tried it myself, but I think I will if I can remember to get some.

Joe:

I don't have the answer for you. It is all very confusing. I take a probiotic as soon as I wake up. About an hout later I take my abx. An hour after that I start taking my long list of supplements all day long until about 4:00 PM. I then take my abx again with dinner at 7:30 ish & a probiotic before bed.

TT: I just spoke with a woman who's LLMD told her not to take Magnesium with Calcium or Zinc. She told her the Mag will cause th other minerals to not be absorbed. So confusing! I take a Mag/Cal combo and now am not sure if that is correct. Maybe Marnie, the Mag expert, has an answer about this.

My naturopath said to take Cal with Mag. I think Marnie says not to.

I take my probiotics at bedtime too. Maybe that will help your schedule?

Calcium is supposed to prevent the full absorption of magnesium. So I take my magnesium seperate from the calcium. You probably want to take the magnesium and B-vits away from the multi anyway. Your body can't absorb it all at once.

It seems as if you have time between lunch and dinner to add things in.
