This was for a while my main symptom of Lyme. Burrascano however hasn't listed it among Lyme symptoms. Numbness of hands of various intensity and location during sleep (and sometimes feet as well) is a very rare symptom in medical fields although some people may confuse it with carpal tunnel that is mainly pain - not numbness. Night hand numbness perhaps is very specific to presence of Lyme in some patients.
Have any of you ever experienced numbness of hands that wakes you up during nights in association with Lyme?

I hear ya. I too, have numbness in my hands. For me it's like as soon as I wake up I'm aware of the numbness. I also have frequent numbness, along with severe burning in the upper thigh on my right leg. Both have been with me long before I was correctly diagnosed with Lyme.

When I had it for the first time I checked all the diseases and I found that this symptom is present in amyloidosis, at least sometimes. So I have excluded amyloidosis. Still for a very long time didn't know what was going on. Finally, this symptom was removed by Questran. This observation supports the idea that the numbness of hands during sleep is caused by the Bb biotoxin.

Numbness-- yup-- hands- arms- feet- brain. Comes and goes. Has been less frequent sence I have been taking meds.--Jay--

numbness in my hands/arms mainly at night wakes me up and numbness in just my left leg. after starting treatment it got a little better but still happened on occasion. I got a memory foam mattress and the problem has disappeared or at least I haven't noticed it anymore. *I say that and it will happen tonight* I wasn't sure if it was more the way I was sleeping or the lyme disease but I fixed both I hope,. Yes, I too suffer with this. I notice it is more at night even though it has happeneded in the daytime. I wake up and I can't feel my hands. The weirdest feeling!
