If you want to join the academics and dissect the subject of Metal Detoxification some more, I would suggest to go to the link below and read the whole thread. Many doctors that deal with the subject of metal detox, have a rough time putting it on paper, because nothing is more individual than trying to do guide a patient through a successful heavy metal detox. Any doctor that works with it will have to admit that it is not easy. Here is about MSM. We still use it as a phrophylactic.
MSM
The following is what I remember clearly being told by my doctor when I started METAL DETOX a few years ago:
We need sulfur to detoxify. If we are using DMPS or DMSA, NAC, or a n y other sulfur-based detox agent and we are sulfur deficient (which many of us are,) the DMPS or other agent will take the mercury into the brain, or into the muscle, or into the nervous system, wherever the sulfur is needed.
This means, that these agents can displace mercury into other body compartments from where they were before, sometimes causing more severe symptoms.
So the trick is to load the system with MSM, so all the sulfur vacancies are saturated and all the DMPS or other agent can do is bind to the mercury and get out because all the other places are saturated and there is no place for it to go.
If we take oral liquid electrolytes, they knock the mercury off their binding sites; they compete with the mercury - wherever the mercury clamps onto. The electrolytes knock the lead and the mercury off their binding sites, and then get replaced with magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, and all the other good things in the electrolytes.
So, whichever herb or agent we are using, we get 10 times the amount of metals and other toxins knocked out of us - (for very little money if we use MSM and electrolytes.)
Do not use MSM from the feed store - they use aluminium as a drying agent for the animal version of MSM.
Take 2 teaspoons of MSM a day with a sprinkle of Vitamin C.
Happy Detox and Take Care.

Is the there anything else I should be taking to get rid of toxins. I have serious systemic yeast. I am taking probiotics and nystatin.
Thanks again
When it comes to Mercury detox, unless you've got a wallet the size of Trump, you have to pace yourself. What items are obligatory in your opinion?
You cannot detox unless you have sulfur in your system. Eat garlic, eat onions, etc.
The yeast - get the freeze dried garlic. Look up my post where I described when to take it, etc. Make absolutely sure you get organic garlic. Biopure has one. I think I posted that info too.
I used to take nine garlic capsules a day. Three following right after the meal. If your neighbors don't visit anymore, cut it back a little. Just take it to titration, before you start to smell.
Go to www.neuraltherapy.com/articles and read some of the articles. It's the best info available - how to eliminate neurotoxins, what they are, etc. That's the information we lived by.
Hiker 53, MSM stands for Methylsulfonylmethane, a naturally occurring dietary derivative of DMSO; serves as a source of bioavailable dietary sulfur. You need sulfur to detoxify.
If you are sulfur deficient, DMPS or DMSA or any detox agent WILL TAKE THE MERCURY INTO THE BRAIN OR INTO THE MUSCLE OR INTO THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, wherever the sulfur is needed. The more toxins we have, the more sulfur we need. Onions, garlic, beargarlic (wild garlic) is basically that - sulfhydrils.
All I can say: load up on it. I used to buy it by the pound for $29.00. It went a long way. Get the powder, put l/2 t in juice with a bit of water and do it several times a day.
Foggy, I would not take DMSA unless my doctor prescribed it for me. I would not take it if prescribed by a doctor who has never supervised the detox of many people.
DMSA, Chlorella, Cilantro, EDTA, Glutathione, NAC, ART,NT, MSM etc?
I would go stand on the street corner holding out my hat to collect dimes to buy chlorella and cilantro. Cilantro costs pennies compared to DMSA that used to cost five dollars a pill. And Biopure Chlorella is very reasonable. Share with someone and buy more than one - price I think is better.
Depends on which EDTA you are talking about.
Calcium EDTA I would not take either, because it has been found that not many people can handle it, or only for a very brief period of time. If you interpret this as a herx and do not have a doctor who knows what he is doing, you are in trouble. You do not want any setbacks.
The EDTA chelation (long drip) with Edetate Disodium has been used for heart patients for years. It contains all sorts of other incredients. That is not a chelation that should be used for mercury. It does little for mercury. It detoxes lead. And after this type of chelation has been done for a while, it is harder to remove the mercury with other means. So do not go for this.
Don't touch it if your problem is mercury. Later, after you have lowered the mercury load, sometimes Disodium EDTA is used.
Glutathione IV is very beneficial if it tests and done at the right time.
ART is practically your cost for the doctors visit. So is NT (Neural Therapy). All is included.
If I add together all the money we paid out before ART with other doctors, it comes to a small fortune, and we had no results and went backward instead of forward. Every penny we spent to get the benefit of ART was the best money we ever spent. It got us the desired results. We got well. Some of the naturopath that get this training and charge you $90.00 an hour get you a lot further than ten LLMD's together that do not understand metal toxicity. If they do not understand metal toxicity, they also do not know why Lyme and why viruses and why parasites, etc. You hit the first one, metal toxicity, good, always following the testing of ART, and you will be on your way.
I do not mean to say that this is a fast cure. It is not. And while you are doing it, it seems endless. But the results will come. They did for us as well as many others.
Yes, I was always wishing - not for the Trump wallet, but for this donkey that produced these gold dollars via his rearend -
I can't remember which fairytale it was.
Take care.

I was feeling so good taking the total detox but found out that it isn't safe to take continually. I have been feeling burning and pain in my muscles ever since. Is there anything else that is a necessity for fighting this? Will these help detox mercury?
Sorry for so many questions? I'm new at this and trying to get well as quickly as possible. I have a 2 year old to keep up with and a job to keep.
Thanks again.
Do you purchase MSM at the health food store? I knew about MSM and had no idea it was powdered...always saw it in tablets.
Lead is ubiquitous and apparently makes mercury more toxic.
Nasal glutathione spray is available from Wellness Pharmacy, I'm using it. Along with glutathione weekly as a chaser in the IV. Your doctor should Rx it, some lyme physicians are finding it very helpful. I like it.
"NOW" has a good one. I am sure there are other good brands that are clean. You always want to look for products that are clean. Often the substance you are looking for is clean, but then a filler is added. Such as E171, which is titanium dioxide - you do not want this. I posted about its toxicity the other day. Look at the fine print of your toothpastes from the health food store. Often the product is organic, but the exposure during processing is what is not good.
Just open eyes, listen, learn, and ask 1000 questions. I still drive Dr. K. crazy - I do nothing, never did, unless I have a full explanation of the why's, etc.
We have been drilled from childhood to respect the white-now green coat, and take a bow. That time is gone - ask questions and put these guys on the spot. When they start answering with "I just don't know" - then you are in a pretty good place.
Take care.
If you are successful in detoxing the mercury, the lead will follow on its footsteps.
