HI all,

Ok, I have not been real good lately about taking my nystatin on a daily basis like I was supposed too.

So this past week I started taking it every day agin after being off of it far a few weeks.

Here's my situation - while I WASN'T taking the nystatin, I didn't have a "white coat" on my tongue. -

But - now since I've been taking it like I was supposed to - I have the yucky white tongue - what gives???

I thought taking nystatin was to keep yeast under control - anybody have this experience?

I wasn't having any problems/symptoms of yeast while off of the nystatin, but now that I'm taking it again, it seems to be showing its ugly head.

Help,
Thank you ahead of time for any help you can give.

Hi there,

I too always thought that white tongue = thrush (yeast) but have come to learne that a white tongue can also = toxic colon...

So the nystatin could be giving you yeast die off, and therefore the toxic colon...

I am of course not a doc, but maybe try to follow with some sort of colon cleanse now...enema, colonic, supps that cleanse the colon...and see if that helps??

Hope that helps

All my best,
Kira
