I'm heading to the Rocky Mountains tonight and wondering what to expect with my symptoms. Has anyone here travelled to high altitude while fighting Lyme? What happened?

Normally high altitude makes me nauseous, weak & dizzy. I'm already that way from Lyme.

Does less oxygen stimulate the keets?

travelled from sea level to 5,00o ft. Didn't seem to affect my Lyme.

I feel lousy when I am in high altitude. I first felt it in the Rockies, years ago before I knew I had lyme.

I have decided that if I ever go up in the mountains again, I will have high altitude sickness medicine with me. They usually use Diamox.

My symptoms are similar to yours: fatigue, nausea, insomnia and increase in heart rate to 100-120 beats per minute.

Can you call your doc and ask what he suggests since you already know you don't feel well when up high?
