From what I understand,Cimbalta is an anti-depressant that also has some pain killer ingredients in it. I feel like I'm even less tolernant that when using Zoloft- even nastier!Zoloft worked well for me but the Dr. wanted to throw in something for pain as well.I feel like I'm going to lose it any moment now!! Could this happen and if so, how do I go back to my old dose of Zoloft?

i just started using this a few days ago and have noticed a decrease in my pain levels ...not sure about depression...says it may take 4 weeeks to see results

Hi Are you on Zoloft and Cymbalta? They are both SSRI's. They could be "crossing wires" on you. I understand your doc wanting to introduce a pain med. I don't understand 2 SSRI's. Cymbalta is a new affective anti-depressant. The info on it other than anti-depressant and nerve pain med is, it does not cause weight pain and does not reduce libido.

I've just started taking it. I have noticed less pain. Still waiting for depression benefit to kick in. Appetite is less.

I have been on Cymbalta since mid-March. I have much less pain - on no pain meds. No more leg aches at the end of the day. I was worried if they had side effects like Paxil. Had more panic attacks and have naseau every morning. After I take the Cymbalta, the naseau is gone? Wonder if there is a connection. I also notice that I have very little appetite and no desire for sweats, which is good since the Lyme packed 40 lbs on me which I cannot lose!
