I'm not even sure these are related in any way, but I figured I'd ask if any of you had had these before.

A while back, my hands (only the palms) started to itch so badly that I couldn't stop scratching them.

They had no bumps or visible hives. I took allergy medicine, but nothing. It eventually went away, but I never knew what caused it.

Lyme related?

Also, yesterday, I was eating lunch and my mouth felt funny. I realized that it felt like my gums were numb from novacaine or something.

I could feel the pressure from my teeth biting down but it had that strange feeling.

Anyone have any idea as to whether either one of these is related to lyme???

Itchy palms like pins-and-needles are often associated with penicillin allergies. Am not a doctor, but have heard its a common allergy to medication of some sort, usually antibiotics.

My wife has had the numb gums and also numbness on her left cheek. She bit her cheek really bad a while back and didn't even notice it. Areas of facial numbness seem to be a common Lyme symptom, even for early Lyme.

Since nobody will give you any antibiotics an antibiotic allergy is kind of ruled out, isn't it.

The good news is *our* facial numbness has gradually gone away since we have been on minocycline.

Hopefully you will get some relief once you are on some kind of treatment too.
