Does anyone know if Lyme can directly or indirectly cause excessive hair growth? I know the thyroid has much too do with hair growth and my thyroid tests are okay. I have been noticing the hair on my arms etc. is growing much longer than I had ever seen it before.

I've been waxing my face because of hair growth. YUK!

Most women who do this do it about once a month. I have to do it once a wk.

Me to i tease my hubby and tell him that I can grow a larger mustache than you! I ahve to N*** my face once a week, how embarrasing. I had my testosterone tested and I am fine!

I don't like it either. Us poor women have ALOT to go through in life.

Hello,

For me the facial hair growth started before I got lyme. Unless i contacted lyme as a child, which I dont think I did, but maybe I contacted it twice. I know I have had yeast since a baby, lots of vaginal infections at age 12, hives and many other symptoms. I ate soooo much sugar as a child, just craved it terribly.
I believe it is candida related for myself, as well as adrenal related.
Adrenals, can be low from lyme or candida, so once this is cleared up, the hair growth should go away.

I looked in an endocrine book of mine, and one symptom was excessive hair growth, and this was caused by hyperactive adrenals.

I noticed the longer I was on antibiotics the more facial hair I got. It was the chin area.

It could be lyme for others, to do with the hormones. I noticed that the longer I took the nystatin, and the better my candida was, the less facial hair I had.
At one point it was almost gone.

Adrenals too. Worn out or exhausted adrenals.

This is what I know. I am sure there is more.

Trish

Testosterone increase when the neurotransmitters drop. Protective. The neurohormones increase.

My son's testosterone level is/was thru the roof...along with DHEA.

All of his "regular" neurotransmitters are/were kapoot...along with almost every mineral...along with the beneficial bacteria.

We're turning him around in weeks...by starting with getting his gut healthy so he could absorb and utilize the nutrients.
