Hello Lymers,

Really need your collective wisdom on this one. One of my primary symptoms has always been stomach problems and liver pain. It always starts with stomach buring with right side pain and the "bile" on the way out. When my stomach is OK, I am OK. When I got stomach/liver/bile issues everything follows??
Could this be BART or Yeast???
Help!!

Or erlichia, or babesia,

or a bad, bad gallbladder?

Im not sure on this one.

You are not the only one. It is Babs and yeast for me. Oh, and of course, it is the antibiotics in general. I have horrible gastro problems and have to be vigilant with my diet. I also do monthly C-Diff tests and Blood Liver Panels. Be careful with your liver - have it checked often if you are on strong abx. I used to have blood drawn every other week. But, my blood has been so clean since treating Babs that my MD has me test once a month now.

I know this is way out in Left field but it's just an idea..........maybe helpful, maybe not.

I have gone on a gluten free diet for the past month. My alt. doc said that even though I do not have celiac disease I would probably improve on a gluten free diet.

She said that humans were not designed to eat grains, espeially wheat and other gluten containing grains. I believe Dr. Mercola www.mercola.com stresses a No-grain diet.

Anyway, I have noticed my digestive system improving in many ways. I don't want to be graphic.....you can email me for more details on the diet if you're interested.

I expect that I will continue a gluten free lifestyle for ever.

I have had to have several abdominal ultrasounds, blood work, was even scoped up and down if you know what I mean, and there's nothing there.

I have been to the er on several occasions with the right sided liver pain you are describing. There's nothing there.

I attribute it to yet another Lyme symptom, and the fact that abx are hard on the liver. I take liver support and liver detox supplements, and still have the pain on and off.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the thoughts. Very much appreciated. It's not my GB since it's been plucked.

Did those of you with Liver pain experience "bile" in stool?

lhm312,
I have also had numerous scans, MRI, ultrasounds, etc. of the old liver

Please help, this is so frustrating!

Cali--

As others have said, these symptoms sound like they should be checked beyond Lymenet.

I've had at least five different causes for pain in this area:

gallstones caused by rocephin--treated with actigall

secondary infection, treated with zithromax, and eventually ketek

babesia and bartonella

abx overload--treated with Dr. Zhang's Hepa Formula 2. His ingredients are listed on his website.

intolerance to two abx: minocycline, which is generally too strong, and omnicef, which I can handle when taking the Zhang herbs

Again, this is one person's experience. You should also know that I'm starting to see physical damage from all these abx.

I had RUQ pains BEFORE I was ever diagnosed with Lyme and BEFORE I took any antibiotics. I too thought it might be the liver, but liver tests looked normal. My gall bladder was then removed due to sluggish HIDA scan (which measure GB function.) I did not have stones or sludge. turned out my GB was pretty damn normal looking at pathology. Later on after diagnosis with Lyme...the thought by my LLMD was that the RUQ pains and R abdominal wall weakening, and diaphragm weirdness was all probably due to to thoracic back nerve root involvement to those nerves. T'aint simple is it? And who knows what is really going on?

I also had my gallbladder removed due to

sluggish and still had the same symptoms.

Went back to the doctor over and over and

he couldn't find anything wrong until one

day he found I had a hernia where my

gallbladder was taken out. I went back to

the surgeon to get it repaired and he told

me I probably had a bacteria there that

caused the hernia. Maybe bart harbors in

the gallbladder. I had burning pains from

my stomach all the way to my back like

someone was sticking a hot rod through

me.

Hi Lymers,

Thanks, for the info.

Cave,
Yeah, my doc thinks it could be H. Polyri. She gave me Bismuth in addition to abxs.

This is so frustrating and other help would be appreciated,

CaliLymer
