Hi Loverell,

Yes you can.

The Mepron & Zithromax protocol are taken together. Most add in herbal ArtemisININ.

As I understand it, the Mepron is for the Babesia and the Zithromax is taken to avoid drug resistance of the Mepron. The Zithromax treats the Lyme inside the cell.

Hope that helps.

Take Care,
Jan

Or you can rotate meds for Lyme and babs. 10 days Lyme meds, 10 days babs meds.

I did bicillin for Bb and mepron/zith/art for babs together. Babs tx was for 7 months for me, and I'm still on bicillin. The combo worked great for me (so far). I seem to have a teflon liver and no chemical sensitivities. I also do a bunch of detox from time to time.

I felt awful for the first 5 months of the babs/Bb treatment. I haven't found anything definitive that I can cite for you, but according to what I read babs releases its own set of toxins, and then you have the Bb die off, and the whole treatment experience is ...unamusing.

Given my own experience as a long-term lymie treating coinfections for the first time--I'd treat presumptively for the coinfections no matter what the tests say. I never did test positive for babs, but what a difference the babs tx made.
