Pilates are a form of excercise that stretch the muscles of your body (especially your spine) and the nerves of your body that the lyme affected will be more relaxed and free of pain. Pilates stretch your muscles and relax the nerves. Also, doing pilates for one week will result in weight loss, muscle gain, pain relief, and body tone. I have been trying this exercise and if you get a personal pilate trainer to help you, your lyme pain will keep fading away and you will get stronger and stronger each day. Ordering the tape is just as good and it comes with a book of all the low calorie foods that you can eat while on a diet. Has anybody tried this excercise???

i do something that my sister says is similar to pilates, but im pretty sure its more powerful. its something that tibetian monks do, it aligns and balances your higher energetic bodies and is a good stretching workout. its called the five tibetan rites. i first learned it from http://www.mkprojects.com/pf_TibetanRites.htm
but have since purchased the book.

"the majority share the view that the rites represent a system of exercise that affects the body, emotions and mind. The Tibetans claim that these exercises activate and stimulate the seven key chakras that in turn stimulate all the glands of the endocrine system. The endocrine system is responsible for the body's overall functioning and aging process. This means that the Five Rites will affect the functioning of all your organs and systems, including the physical and energetic systems and that includes the aging process. The man who brought these Five Rights out of Tibet stated that "performing the Five Rites stimulates the circulation of essential life energy throughout the body"."

from the page. the endocrine system and the immune system are almost the same thing.

Thanks for that link. I've been curious about those positions ever since I saw the cover of the book, but didn't read through it.

Looks like a handful of yoga asanas to me, but that's not to say they aren't effective.
