Anybody else suffering from sudden sharp pain on the side of the head - it is a sharp pain that lasts for a few seconds then stops and comes back. It seems somehow related to the movements that I am making.

I get these sometimes on the very top center of my head or in the lower back of my head.

yesss - a stabbing pain that makes you want to close one eye...
i am being treated again for bartonella - and since then it has gone away.
i think those are teh worst headaches, they're totally disabling.
mine didn't only last for a few seconds, maybe 10-15 minutes.
I would talk to your LLMD about bartonella - other symptoms for ME were sore throat & swollen lymph nodes.

I experience this kind of pain when on tinidazol or large dose of doxycyline.
In my mind these are dezintegrating cysts. In other parts of my body I feel it as a few second lasting needle but inside of the brain it is short lasting pain.

Is it related to arm, back or neck movement? If so it might be caused by a myofascial trigger point, a tight muscle referring pain to your head.

I have not really figured out yet which movement trigger the pain but I think it is in my back.

Yup Lars that's something I experience also, mine are quick, too. Haven't figured what triggers it tho.

Yes, I have those. They are often called ice pick headaches. Related to migraines. Mine got really bad last fall, the kind that make you wonder if life is worthwhile.
Fortunately, treatment for Babesia seems to be helping me. I also had to start taking sustained release opiods to make it through, but the past week I have been able to reduce my dose of pain meds. Yeah!!!
