Since I started taking abx my urine is quite foamy. Any other males notice anything similar?

I have heard foamy urine can indicate loss of protein. In the case of lyme could this protein be related to the abx eliminating the spirocetes?

I THINK someone's brought this up before and others said it could be yeast. Don't quote me on that though!

Whenever I start an abx...that works..I get a good head of foam on my golden flow.

It happens.....

brighty,

Interesting observation! I too think this topic was discussed sometime in the past year.

Anyhow, I was on 3 different antibiotics for over a year and I never noticed this phenomenon until I took Ketek last August & Sept.

For other reasons I went back on my old regimen of antibiotics after that, and the past month and a half I have been getting the same reaction after treating myself with alternating magnetic fields (rifing with a degaussing coil).

So I take this as a positive sign that the spirochetes are being killed, just like they probably were when I started the Ketek.

Gee...and I always thought it only happened when I was on the Atkins and losing weight via Ketosis.

I've noticed this weird symptom too. proteinuria is not a good sign...among the horrible illnesses it can augur are plasma cell dyscrasias like amyloidosis and multiple myeloma..
If you did have one of these disorders, you cannot rely on a standard urinalysis because this won't pick up light chain bence-jones proteins which sometimes occur in plasma cell disorders. Special testing is necessary, just so you know.
Basically, this is just one more bizarre symptom that many LB patients experience which has thus far gone unexplained due to the massive scientific fraud perpetrated by Steere and others.

Both hubby and me have this. First time I noticed it after rifing and hoped it would be dead bacteries being flushed out. Now, it is also during abx (any kind).

Urine analysis' don't show protein or anything else (just in my case traces of blood - which I have since my childhood - probably Babs). Bloodwork is just fine.

Had two tests done for yeast and both came back negative. A Lymie friend told me, her yeast in the urine looked flaky - not foamy.

I also noticed that after the sauna, when I take a shower without using soap or anything, then there is foam on the water. I don't use cream or anything that could cause this foam - it is coming out of my skin and only after the sauna.

So I hope this is some detox thing.

Too much protein (albumin)in the urine will cause it to be 'foamy'. You could always have the Doc check a sample.

When I was on a week of Unasyn IV abx in 1993 for an illness which nearly killed me and which I now know to be Lyme and Babs, I also had this foam thing. I remember it clearly, like peeing beer.

Never mentioned it to anyone as I didn't think it was a big deal, and suffered no ill effects. I think it's just the abx bi-products or something, coming out the other end.

I've always associated foamy urine with detoxing. I've always noticed it after or during treatments such as lymph drainage, massages, rife treatments, chiro/muscle tester etc.

I don't remember doing this during 3+ years of abx. Only after starting alternative treatments.

I have it even after being off abx for 4 months.

Some of my urinary history and lyme.

I'm a caucasoid male. No history of genito-urinary problems, diseases,no STDS, etc. At a late age, eyesight even perfect. All began shortly within 48 hrs. max., of snapping an embedded tick.
I've been saving samples of my urine dating from about 6 -12 mos.

I'll return within 2 months with a report of my findings based only upon visual inspection, and what lab work I have. This will take time.

From what I recall, one lab report stated "epithelial tissue in urine."
This could be tissue from the kidneys, ureters, and/or bladder.
One concl.: Bb has a marked affinity for the bladder.

Various colors:
Initial infection: Dark as tea water, concomitant with spastic bladder;frequent voiding of small volumes.

Visual textures: Particles; Strings of material(white color).

Voiding: Felt numbiness, tingling, and stinging pain upon voiding, entire length of urethra as urine flowed down urethra;esp. so when on i.v. rocephin, and for a while after.

To this day, I still feel the "prescence" of the left side of my urethra: slight coolness
Foaming: I don't recall noticing this, but I was so cns and pns affected that I'm wouldn't be surprised if this did occur.

Have bottles urine ranging in colors from deep red, to clear, too many with particulate matter in them. Rule out food particles, and saliva.

White brief underwear has had yellow stains on it since 2001 when I started taking conscious notice of symptoms and signs.
