Possible, I guess; hard to figure how. Much more likely that, if she has LD, she got it the same way you did.
There are tons of reasons for dogs to be itchy and have hair loss; LD is kinda low on the list, unless there are other sx as well. Food allergy, parasites (internal and external), hormones, mange....
