I know that Zith is for Lyme, but, I though Rifampin was for Babs...huh.

Need an expert here...ttt

Not an expert but FWIW here goes. Babesia is a malaria like microbe. Malaria is almost universally treated with two drugs at the same time. Do a search, easy info to find. So babs needs both an antibiotic (Zithromaz) and an anti-malarial, like Mepron.

It is my understanding that you take the zithromax concurrently with the Mepron so that you or the babs does not build up a resistance to the Mepron. I wonder which it is the person's system or the babs?

I did that double take as well. We are both losing it! Then, you response tossed me right ove rht eedge because you said Rifampin was for Babs. Rifampin is used for Bart, as far as I know. Zith and Mepron are used for Babs.

I definitely need coffee & I think you do too.
