I have neurological problems,, right side weakness in both right arm and leg, clenched right hand, right facial palsy. Of course, neurologists couldn't give me an answer after doing MANY tests for the past 10 years.
I would like to ask any of you with similar neurological problems, have you gotten better with treatment, or has the damage been done?
I am currently on Biaxin XL, till the bloodtests come back from Bowen and Immunoscience Labs. Will find out my treatment plan then.
Thanks for any insight.
Better days ahead for all!
There is such hope at the end of the tunnel. Be of good cheer. Sounds as if you're truly overloaded with neurosx and mine were getting that bad before i started tx almost 3 years ago now... I am SO MUCH BETTER! It will take some time, so, be patient. There are a number of different drugs used for neurosx and your doc may even put you on a "cocktail", it's different for everyone and will take time to find what's right for you!
Spirits up and send me an email any time you need to talk. I don't check my email but once or twice per week, so, don't think I've forgotten you.

Antibiotic treatment helped tremendously aided by a good dose of physical therapy and some cognitive remediation. Time did a lot of good too!
Went on to get my PhD, although to be honest, my memory capabilities were not the same as prior to the meningitis, but definitely functional (obviously!). Also, went on to be able to do things like play softball and rock climb.
Recurrences have since kicked my butt, but just wanted to let you know that some very serious neurological symptoms with devastating consequences did improve tremendously. Brains are some awesomely resilient organs!
Should the search function be working, there is a thread from a few months ago noting stories with positive outcomes of neurological symptoms from Lyme.
