Antibiotics seem to be working fine for me right now (4th month in and of course my LLMD wants to take me off them in one more month..) but am curious if a Rife machine would help.

My husband actually started to read up on it and asked me what I thought.

I would continue with your abx program and see if works. You have be able to cure yourself of Lyme with abx only. Only after 2 years of treatment, would I look at other approaches.

I have chronic Lyme and abx controls my symptoms, but never rid me of Lyme. with rife I have been able to stop abx and now rife weekly to control symptoms. I have been rifing for almost 2 years.

i have been sick for 7 years and been through tons of antibiotics and am thinking about doing rife now. it just seems expensive. b3+amp and doug coil is the best right? not cheap...
id really like to know how chronic people who hardly respond to abx do on rife.

Let me tell you..I herxed tremendously hard today...as usual.

I am improving....weekly now.

I have used 'no-rift' rife, emem3, and I own a $3900 Jim Bare type rife..purchased used from a fellow Lymie here on Lymenet...they recovered well...and so am I and my youngest daughter.

I am almost 2 years without antibiotics and last year I climbed Mt. Rainier (one of the hardest endurance climbs in the lower 48 states) with my son.

If done correctly, rife works to lower the bacterial load so a person can carry on a normal live. It works, but you have to keep at it on a regular schedule.

Where are you getting a rife for $500.00? And, what type is it? Any specifics would be helpful. I am financially strapped and just can't seem to justify spending $3,000 on an experimental therapy that insurance won't cover.

I've been using a rife machine and other alternative methods for 2 yrs. I've made real progress. I now have many good days and the bad days are what I used to call good days a year ago.

I bought the Beam Ray rife machine. It is the most expensive on the market. That was the one I was lead to in a very spiritual way and so I was blessed enough to have money in a retirement account to buy it.

For those of you improving on abx, that's great. Keep at it. For those of us that don't in 2-3 yrs of abx, you've got to consider other options to get well.

Like Gigi and many others keep trying to tell us, there is a BIG picture here and we've got to address many many different avenues of this illness.

Rife is no quick fix. I went through 6-7 months of terrible herxing. And then one day was a good day. And then there was 2 good days. And then I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. I knew with all my heart that someday this nightmare was going to be behind me.

Now I have my story to tell. I'm not cured, I don't know if cured will happen. What I do know is it can get better and I'm currently into 2 weeks of really good days. I'm not symptom free yet. So the war is not over.

Rife will be a part of my life for a very long time. I'm a rife believer because I've been there, done that.

I have just started antibiotics (2 months ago)and would like to go ahead and start using a rife or the KMT22 to enhance the antibiotics (if that is possible) rather than wait 2 years or more to see if they did or did not work.

Would this be a good idea?

Ernie - you said (if I understood your post correctly) that you would only try another approach after 2 years of abx treatment. Why is that?
