Hi everyone!
My husband switched from doxy to mino and is not getting sunburned anymore (still uses sunscreen) but now has upset tummy (indigestion... and he NEVER has tummy problems....I called him iron gut on more than one occasion!). I'm having him take mino after a meal. still feels strange in tummy. Got him lots of probiotics which he takes religiously.
Question: I found on doxy that sx of tummy upset subside as the body adjusts. Is that similar w/mino? Someone also suggested pepto bismo. Is there anything else he should do to help his stomach feel better....

Thanks
pip

Mino is not to be taken within two hours of antacids that contain magnesium, calcium (or iron). He should not lie down for 30 minutes after taking it. I take mine with food and haven't had a problem, but I know some people do. Good luck.

Make sure your husband is on a powerful probiotic, one that has to be refrigerated, at bedtime, at least two hours after taking the drug.
Good luck.

For me, nausea and dizziness subsided with both tetracycline and minocycline, after a few weeks. With mino, I ramped up slowly, taking just one a day for a week then going up to 2.
