hi all,
the weirdest things happened this week after starting abx zithro and mepron for the first time....my chronic back pain in gone!!!!

i am only 29 and have been suffering from severe chronic back pain since last september. it would fluuctuate but every couple of weeks i couldnt get out of bed.chiro/accupuncture helped but never got it to fully heal. it would repeatedly spiral out of control. i havent worked out/jogged/played basketballin like 9 months.

i got diagnosed w/ babs 2 weeks ago. probably lyme too but not TOTALLY confirmed. started the abx regiment last monday. on tuesday my back problems hit the fan. i was bed ridden all day. i had a friend going to hong kong for 3 months and had to attend a going away dinner. (i somehow made without anyone notice the sheer agony i was in. )

the all of sudden on wednesday it felt quite a bit better. it seemed almost alarming. then
thurs better. friday better....now sunday night. my back hasnt felt like this in a long time.

i went jogging on fri, sat, sunday. i havent jogged since last summer. lifted weights today at ymca. (been at least a year) while the effects of the disease were pretty apparent lifting weights (steadiness problems in my stabilizing muscles.) it still felt good to make it to the gym. i have a whole new sense of mobility w/ back problems gone.

btw - went dancing fri/sat night till the wee hours. yee haw!

i know the rest of this battle will be slow and painful. it was nice to get some positive
headway with something so quickly. i can almost guarentee the back problem was the babs/lyme.

keep getting better everyone and god bless.

Good for you!

The only advice I would give is take it slow with the activities.

It's such a relief when chronic pain is gone. I'm soooo happy for you.

Electric...

Back Pain (thoracic) was the first, and most constant symptom I've had. I still have it, but but it is 1/4 of what it used to be. I also did a Zithro regimin in March. Wonder if it made some headway into the issue like it did yours? What other symptoms have you had?

Hi. This is a second try at a post, so many apologies if it appears twice.

This is an inspiring story. There are many former athletic types here, hikers and runners and mountain climbers, and for you to say everyone may go back to sports again imparts strength to go on.

By the way, I was disabled with so-called chronic Lyme for four years before starting real babs treatment five months ago. You're right, the Lyme treatment suddenly started moving much faster. Even if it is never completely cured, it may never regain it's former clench.
