I have just been refered to a rhumetologist, and an endocardiologist, I know im spelling these wrong!!! My LLmd is trying to rule out other posibilities i guess, despite the pos. test from igenex he says i am not showing clinical signs even though I have all the underlying symptoms. well we will hope forthe best. HAs anyone ever been to this specialist and exactly what do they do?

The rhuemy treats rheumy illnesses. (anythign but lyme)

The endocardiologist heart problems.

Have you been treated for coinfections?

Very good question! Rheumies LOVE steroids! Buyer beware!

And cardiologists LOVE tests!!!

yep, I hope you've been tested/treated for babesia first.

I hope it works out for us and this LLMD.

Honestly though he should have rx antibiotics for you. I already had a prescribtion for my rx's and he said to keep taking them.

You should not wait 5 weeks for antibiotics especially with the positive test. Go to your PCP and get biaxin xl 500 2x a day. I can't stess enuf that you need the rx.

If I needed the rx from him (which I need for babs and he didn't)

Sorry for my rambling. I'm soooo on the fence with this LLMD.

Lenny,

Noting that you commented that your spelling was likely incorrect, I am wondering if you correctly identified the type of doctor you are being referred to.

You said an "endocardiologist." Your spelling of that uses the word "cardio" which would indicate a heart doctor. Is that the type of doctor he is sending you to?

Or is he sending you to an "endocrinologist?" This type of doctor deals with the Endrocrine Glands in the body. An endrocrine gland is defined as..."secreting internally; specifically : producing secretions that are distributed in the body by way of the bloodstream

This would include things like thyroid gland, putuitary glands. My husband goes to this type of doctor for his diabetes.

Just hoping to clarify for you, as I think from your spelling it could be misleading as to which type of doctor you are being sent to.

I would think to determine if it something other than Lyme's you might be going to the second type of doctor.

Do you know which it is??

God bless,
Jane

Hey Lenny,

I called MDL LABS to see where they were with my tests and they said they completed the tests mailed out and faxed.

I called Dr I's office and actually got an earlier appt. This monday!!!!

If he gives me meds then I'll keep going. Other wise I'm going back to my LLMD Nuero. Or maybe a cash LLMD where I live.

I'll keep you posted.
Heather

Lenny's LLMD doesn't sound like an LLMD to me.

I didn't know there was an LLMD on Long Island. Has this one been around long? Treating Lyme, I mean.
