Most likely the yeast. Taking the diflucan caused die-off on top of the fact that you were already suffering from the yeast. [I'm assuming, since you took a diflucan, that you were having problems.]

Check out this diet and make sure you aren't eating anything which could make matters worse.

Follow it strictly for a few weeks. You might even skip a day on the diflucan. Don't take one tomorrow....then take one the next day. Then see how you feel.

After that, you may be able to take one everyday.

I feel for you. That's why I preach "yeast control" so much. I've been there with the suffering! UGH!

Amyb,
You could get a pair of sweatpants with an elastic waist, and then you'll have something if this should happen again.

Just a thought.

amy,

Could be dairy...I've discovered that I feel a whole lot better after giving up dairy, and, finally, my bloating has subsided. I was bloated for about month.

Why, all of a sudden, I can't eat dairy, I don't know, but things just happen to our insides that we can't explain.

Thanks to Dr. C and to Lymetoo, I have given up dairy, and my tummy feels a whole lot better.

I was on Diflucan for quite a long time, also, and I'm sure that might have, hopefully, taken care of a lot of yeast.

I have also been off abx for about 7-8 months now, so I can't blame it on abx.

I feel for you as it is very uncomfortable. I hope you find what works for you.

Good luck,

lifeline

amy,
sorry to hear you are struggling with the yeast beast. diflucan can be brutal. I agree that not eating dairy helps a lot as the others have said.

I had really bad yeast infection from axb and was taking lots of antifungal stuff and tried every probiotic out there.

I tried something that really worked to balance the bacteria/yeast in my body.

ITs a superstrain of probiotic that is really hardy and hard for the antibiotics to kill.

It is expensive but well worth it to keep away yeast. its call Healthy Trinity by Natren.
www.natren.com

You can get it at healthfood stores and vitaminshoppe stores.

it is so powerful it cleared up my yeast in a week. you may have to take 6 or so a day in the beginning but you can taper down as the yeast gets beat out by these good bacteria.

hope you get relief soon

Thanks, lifeline! I failed to mention that possibility for Amy. My lactose intolerance came about rather "suddenly" too, many years ago. I can now eat SOME dairy and get away with it.

glad you're doing better now!

Can you have yeast in the gut even though your mouth looks fine? Also, can it make you feel like you have to pee? I was very bloated with the pee thing going on but LLMD does not think it is yeast because no white in mouth so I am having photos taken of my lower tummy.

I also thought this may be another ovarian cyst because of the nausea and am seeing gyno next week. In the meantime LLMD insturcted not dairy or grains. Anyone ever have these symptoms with yeast? Also feel a little crummy after eating. Thanks!

boy i had a major headache last night....

pretty much all day....im guessing it was the yeast die off....

i am not sure what to do...i do not see my LLMD for 2 weeks..it is the first time i will be seeing her...

i could only get my GP to give me 2 diflucan pills...150mg

does not believe in the whole yeast thing

so do i start my abx again today then take another diflucan next week???? or do i take the other one today???

i thought diflucan stayed in your system for a few days????

i do eat cheese on my salads...guess i will have to give that up as well

thanks for all the advice
