Does protein increase in CSF with lyme? Mine was slightly elevated from a lumbar puncture I had last Nov 2004, unfortunately they did not check it for lyme, but did for meningitis.

CSF protein can be elevated in diseminated Lyme disease affecting the central nervous system (there are many papers in the literature documenting this). Keep in mind that other disease processes can also present with elevated protein.
