I think I have symtoms worsening again- years after my initial treatment. Two 2 month treatment within one year (iv roecephin). I mean I've never been quite right since first diag. I'm ver tired right now- Ihope this is making sense. Anyway~ has anyone went back after a couple of years and still came back positive?

When I went back I got a equivical eegh But I went back on abx's anyhow because I knew it was back because of my symptoms achey, tired joint pain came back in my good joints, sore all the time and I felt crawley when I would sweat and I mean crawley.
Iam now off abx's since sept 27th 04 and feel pretty good but not quite there yet no joint pain anywhere but my bad knee which it was there on and off anyway.
Still watching for other symptoms . I do ache a little only after my vitamin b complex though which that is a side effect of b vitamins anyway.
If I dont take the b vitamin in three days it goes away.
Hope that helped.
Maybe you should try orals at high doses two different abx's at a time alternating one out every three months seemed to work for me.
Also keep taking suppliments complex b and daily multi vitamin and acidophilis,magnesium,cq10,glocosomine.

For chronic Lymies, such as myself, tests may actually be of little use. I have had numerous tests run over approximately a 7 year period, and all are positive despite a variety of therapies.
I continue to "beat up" on the spirochettes using antibiotics, etc. to maintain my "wellness".
If you're not feeling well, it's quite possible that your symptoms may be Lyme related. I tend to treat my symproms, not the test results.
Hope this helps and that you get to feeling better.

I test positive when I am very sick and test negative when I feel well (consistent on this since 1989, on many different labs' ELISA/WB/expt'al immune complex tests as long as I'm not on Abx or steroids). Perhaps your test was negative in the interim, but that is PURE speculation.
At any rate, the fact that you are testing positive now gives you more leverage in the [frustrating] medical world for treatment relative to those who may test negative or equivocal. I hope you get the treatment that is required of your situation and that you begin feeling better soon.

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought once you test positive you always will because the tests will only show whether you have been exposed to Lyme not whether you have an active case.
