I have been on Ketek for a few months and still wake up daily with general pain and fatigue. This is my 3rd year of abx, had been on Zith and Ceftin for a long time prior to the Ketek.
What the Ketek was successful in eliminating were those head pressure headaches where it feels like we are wearing a bathing cap.
I know that my LLMD will want to add another abx to Ketek. He had mentioned on my last visit Flagyl or Vantin, but I have seen lots of people here on Omnicef with Ketek.
I am negative for co-infections and really don't have the symptoms, as far as I can tell.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I've really liked omnicef so far, but it's strong. Are you taking lots of liver support? Omnicef and ketek can both raise your liver enzymes, although there are many herbal concoctions to bring the enzymes back down. Look for schizandra, milk thistle, NAC, licorace.
Flagyl will work well in this combination, but will cause the yeast to attack. So you may need to throw a lot of supplements, herbs, and abx at that. Also, as you've probably read, the flagyl herx doesn't feel like a herx, it feels like being run over by a paving truck in slow motion. When you start it, be ready, with food in your apartment, colleagues and family warned, and so forth.

I am on 800mg of both Ketek and Cedax daily. I am relatively new to this treatment having started the Ketek 3/2/05 and the Cedax the beginning of April.
I know I have been herxing so something is going on.

intramuscular bicillin shots and ketek is strong, but should be very effective.
same idea as taking omnicef, cedax, etc...
but the administration of penicillin based abx (like the latter) via IM route is much more effective.
ketek and flagyl, maybe more so than any combo, could cause yeasties, like liz said.
