I haven't used it, but am considering it. If you don't mind me asking, how much do the vitamins cost? Can you buy them online?

Do you use the CoQ10, too, that Dr. B recommends?

I use all of them.....I'm feeling great!!!!

lymeblue

how long have you been on them? how long have you had lyme and are you on abx with them? you must be a patient of dr b's ..no?

I don't use coq10 at all..never have..

they're about 75.00 for a month supply of vitamins, minerals and antioxidents/phytonutrient capsules. you take two complete packets a day which include 1 vitamin, three mineral caps and two phytonutrients....

if you go to their website you can look up the vitamins for women/aging and find out everything in them...they're great.

I used to use lifepak and thought they were pretty good.
I'm allergic to some of the ingredients now so I've stopped using them.

The facts support that Shaklee Corp. (50 year old nutritional company) produces better supplements than Pharmanex. Both are multi- level companies, but Shaklee has the scientific research behind each one of their products that guarantees the product will do what research testing says it does. All are from organic source, free of pesticides and preservatives.

All you have to do is taste the supplements to realize the difference.

ALEX ,
pharmanex is free of dyes and preservatives as well, i know I had to investigate as I am highly allergic...

I like shaklee products too..I just happen to be doing well on these vitamins and minerals now...they come in one packet and I just grab a packet every morninga nd evening and run...I also take three omega 3's and 3 omega 6's per day as well...

thanks though

I have to respectfully disagree with Alex on the quality of Pharmanex vitamins. I sell both Shaklee and Pharmanex product lines, and Pharmanex is hands down the higher quality line. See the document I put together below on their quality processes. Our family feels that LifePak has been a significant factor in our recovery from LD.

Since I sell Pharmanex mostly for the free vitamins, I'm willing to give fellow Lymies the maximum discount I can offer, 20% off. Just enter 20ECOUP in the promo code box at checkout. http://weborders.mypharmanex.com/

For the absolutely lowest price, order as an ADR (monthly order). This way you earn free product after a couple months. Also, their excellent Marine Omega product is only $10 a month if you order it with ADR LifePak.

LifePak + MarineOmega Item #01101868
LifePak Women + MarineOmega #01101869
LifePak Prime + MarineOmega #01101867

I've put together a detailed list of recommended LD supplements that's posted on LymeNet, or I can email you my latest version if you ping me at [email protected].

BTW, Pharmanex just launched a new antioxidant juice product that looks promising. http://weborders.myfruitfromheaven.com/

LifePak Advantages

There are basically three different grades of raw materials used in products:
* Pharmaceutical Grade - meets pharmaceutical standards
* Food Grade - meets standards set for human consumption
* Feed Grade - meets standards set for animal consumption

The difference between each grade type is one of quality and purity. In technical terms, no substance is 100% pure, for there are always other substances added to various products. The difference between the grades is one of how much of these other substances are present in the product.

There are several criteria by which pharmaceutical grade are judged. The product must be in excess of 99% purity with no binders, fillers, excipients, dyes, or unknown substances.

As part of the Pharmanex quality process, all products and ingredients are tested for pesticide residues, heavy metals, microbes and other contaminants per United States Pharmacopeia (USP) guidelines. As part of Pharmanex's commitment to strive for pharmaceutical-like quality standards, they follow the drug industry's mandatory USP 25 guidelines (section 561) for pesticide residue analysis for articles of botanical origin. In addition, USP requires that drug companies test for levels of 34 pesticide residues. However, since Pharmanex owns a state-of-the-art HPLC machine that has capabilities to test for additional compounds, our chemists test for all 512 known pesticide residues.

Pharmanex vitamins are loosely packed in capsules, so they are better absorbed than the hard-pack, mass-market varieties.

Also, you can measure the difference with Pharmanex vitamins, because of their antioxidant hand scanner. If you take Pharmanex LifePak, and your antioxidant level doesn't go up, you get your money back. If you email me, I can find a scanner in your area.

The best way to save money on the Pharmanex LifePak products:

1. Order LifePak as a repeating monthly order (called ADR), and if you take it for a year, it'll cost you $36 per month, once you redeem all the free product points. (LifePak Prime and LifePak Women have additional specialized ingredients in them, and they cost more, so if you're cost conscious, order the plain LifePak.)

To order by phone call 1-800-487-1000 and give the order-taker this number US0668509.

Step-by-step instructions are located in the lower right corner of my web site: http://weborders.mypharmanex.com/

Is anyone using the LifePak with antibx that can't be taken within 2-4 hrs of minerals? (As I understand it the abx binds with the minerals rendering the abx ineffective.)

There are minerals in the LifePak and LifePak instructions say to take them at breakfast and dinner and I usually take my abx at breakfast and dinner, too.

Thanks!

thanks Kris,

I had investigated pharmanex in great detail prior to buying because of my severe allergys to preservatives etc..and found htem superior as well..they make me feel great! Thank you for your discount..I"m glad you're a rep and it will help you as well..we can both benefit!

I am on omega 3's and 6's .is this the omega package you're speaking about? I haven't looked into it yet. I buy it separately now, and take two of each each day...but maybe their product is superior as well..please let me know what you think...

thanks for the great info.

Thanks from me, too, Kris,
I've been looking into it and am tired of the many different bottles and my husband picks them up. Would like the convenience of having something mailed, too.

I need to stay off CoQ10 while on Mepron, right?

Any other contraindications for various meds? I know some you're not supposed to take calcium or magnesium within a few hours.

Can anyone who know this off by heart make a list and we can write it down?

Thanks again,
StinkBug
