Take a Lymenet day and read through as many past postings as you can. There is no one treatment for Lyme, and no one doctor who is up on everything available.
If you do stick with the IV, you should try to take Actigall to protect your gallbladder. Also, research two drugs for the cyst form of Lyme called flagyl and tinidazole (or Tindamax). Many people feel that rocephin pushes Lyme into its dormant "cyst" phase, and if you agree with this theory, you need to take an antibiotic that kills that form of Lyme.
Also, make sure you don't have any co-infections. Many, many people have found that the most life threatening cases of Lyme are really a combination of Lyme and babesia or bartonella. If you have one of these co-infections, or the others that seem to be discovered these days, even rocephin will not be able to get rid of your Lyme.
Again, research as much as possible. The same subjects come up on Lymenet over and over, so just by going back a year, you can get a comprehensive overview of the issues at stake.
Prevacid always gave me migrains and didnt work that well anyways.
Try Protonix.

try some qapple cider vinegar, it sounds strange but often helps. I sweeten a teaspoon of it with a little stevia or splenda to make it easier to take
Thanks, I'll give it a try

It's been a while since rocephin was anyone's only hope--there's lots of other drug combinations out there. Also, the standard daily dose is 2mg, administered by drip over a half hour or, if you are injecting directly into a picc line, over a 1-2 hour period. Ten minutes, especially at your dosage, can be very dangerous.Take a Lymenet day and read through as many past postings as you can. Thanks so much I have a call into my doc and the home nurse to see if they screwed up the doctor
s orders... he wrote " 3mg rocephin/150mL of saline solution once a day or how the home nurse chooses to do it....which gives them quite a bit of leeway..also I noticed that he did prescribe flagyl but the order was never filled... I am following up.
