Has anyone tried the Marshall Protocol and if so what kind of results did you have. As with all things, the advocates of the program only report the success stories. I was wondering if anyone had tried it and had any adverse effects.

Thanks for you help.

For constructive critique, see http://www.lassesen.com when here, scroll to, and select cfids, lower left hand column.
This is not the exact page, but search around and you'll find material on this.

Two of many aspects addressed are the adrenal glands, and vitamin D.
Also, http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/CFSProtocol/
One page ranks various protocols, inclu. the mp.

The material on vitamin D posted here is a sine quo non for consideration of the mp.
Compare this material on vit. D with the description of the role of vit. D made by the mp site.

I've been on it for over 6 months.

The hard part is staying out of the sun.

The herx on small doses of abx is much greater than the herx I saw when rx massive doses of the same abx by my Lyme doc.

So if you believe that the herx is your body's reaction to dying bacteria, then I guess I'm doing great.

I can still work, and commute, as long as I stay covered and wear my glasses.

Many people on the MP site are experiencing stronger herxes than me. But many were also a lot sicker than me to start. I've had Lyme for 18 years but always was able to work, though walking has become more and more demanding over time.

Feel free to email me with any questions.

Franky,

This group will have many references/links to vitamin D; go the message index and get to the first 10 or so links. These links, collectively will give considerable information for you to utilize in assessing the pros and cons of mp. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/CFSProtocol/
