It started in 2002
Read this carefully, this could be you

Went to the doc, just wasn't feeling right
Thought it was maybe from a tick bite

Was treated for Lyme 2 years before
Ever since then, have been feeling sore

Went to the Internist for a Lyme Titer test
Came back Negative, like all the rest

Dxd with IBS by the next Doc - when will they get it right, and all this will stop

Next, went to the Dentist for pain in my jaw
Real testing for Lyme should be a law!

Had a root canal, then pulled the tooth
Still had pain, when will there be truth

Next, went to ENT for sinus infection and slurred speech, I should have saved the co-pay and gone to the beach

Time went by, and symptoms did not stop, soon I had muscle twitches and a foot drop

Went to Neurologist in DC, supposed to be the best
Come to find out he never did any Lyme test

The Neuro said you have Lou Gehrig's Disease
My wife said, could you test for Lyme, please

He looked me in the eye and said you don't have Lyme - He would have known I DID if he'd taken the time

2 yrs later I finally had a proper test - Guess What? It was NOT negative, like all rest!

3 yrs. later, and almost death, all because of that bull**** ELISA Test!!!!!!!!!!!

See IGenex Labs for & when Lyme Disease is suspected!

Been there, done that for 34 yrs. until 7-04!

I would have NEVER suspected lyme dx! I tested as I was showing ALL the signs of early-onset alzheimer's/dementia is the ONLY reason I tested to eliminate this!

We've got to listen to our guts & fight tooth & nail to get proper testings & sent to LYME DIAGNOSTIC LABS.

thought i would bring this to the top again ~ seems some newbies get confused, and believe their ducks when they say, "you dont have lyme, look at this test result, you have a negative!

They convinced me for years, by telling me that, and from day one i told them i think my problems are caused by lyme.

If I only I knew then, what I know now....

I hope this helps someone!

I love your lyrical way with words!

My own journey from onset of symptoms to diagnosis was only a year; when I read some of your stories I feel pretty lucky.

ALSLYME, are you feeling better? My brother is in the same boat and he is not doing well at all. It's hard to find patients who have been diagnosed with ALS, then tested positive for lyme, and then got better. Even a little.
