Hi everyone.
I am seeing Dr. C in MO on Friday morn. I would ike to know what he usually does on first appointment? I have a hotel room for a couple of days.

Does one ever go directly to hospital?

When you guys say IV antibiotic treatment for 5 weeks, does that mean, going in for 1 hour a day or staying in hospital for treatment?

Does he usually start treatments, that I would not be able to drive?

Anything that would be of help with what you went thru. It looks like I am going alone w/ my tape recorder.

Yes I am nervous, I have read the newbie info, thank everyone for that, but, I would like to know what others have been thru w/ him.

Oh, I am staying at Krystal Aire. Any complaints/compliments with that Hotel?

I don't know your history but I think he will give you scripts to fill when you get home.

I doubt he will start with IV unless you have exhausted all oral meds.

My kids just started IV Claforan on May 20th. They have been patients of Dr. C for 1 year. They have an appointment with him on Monday, June 20th.

We've stayed at several different hotels, but have chose The Lamplighter for the past few visits. The cost is $45/night for Dr. C's patients.

Taking a tape recorder is a great idea. You will get a lot of information.

You will thoroughly enjoy the visit.

Myself and another patient of Dr C's suggested the Krystal..as it is better for the Chemically Sensitive Patients Dr C gets.

You won't go straight to the hospital.

He will talk straight with you on everything. Tell you the options of everything...glad you have the tape recorder.

Have fun...go to the Bass Pro Shop...see the Wide Life Exhibits there.....relax.

I am glad I saw your post. I am also going to Dr C for the 1st time July 6th. I have not been to an LLMD before. I had to make transportation changes and will be using Greyhound...14 hr trip one way!! I am nervous also. Please let me...you can e-mail me...know how your visit turned out.

I am also staying at the Krystal Aire Inn for a few days. Their discount rate is $59 a night. The Lamplighter is crossed off on the package that Dr C sent me for new patients....hmmmmm wonder why??

I am also anxious to get at the root of this 34 yr problem. He seems to be the best one to go to even though he is hard to get to. OYE!! I plan on relaxing before another 14 hr trip home.

We see Dr. Crist every 3 months (sometimes sooner). Our 1st packet had the Lamplighter crossed off, so we had been staying at other hotels.

There was a post on General Support about this and many of Dr. C's patients stay at the Lamplighter. We've been happy with the Lamplighter so far. We get 2 adjoining rooms.

I guess we need to ask him why it is crossed out!

I agree....just relax. You're going to be a bit overwhelmed with all the information, but you will be put at ease and feel comfortable asking ANYTHING you want.

He will answer and not make you feel like you're nuts! He knows we're all nuts so he treats us all the same! Just kidding!!

Heaven forbid! You might want to think twice before making that trip!

You see..

After his patients leave the office.. they all run.. not walk, RUN down to the Bass Pro shop!

There they purchase ALL the camoflauge clothing they can get. Yep.. they buy the place out!

It seems he is such a good doctor that after seeing him his patients all want to go DUCK HUNTING!!!!

But don't be telling him Tincup said that! You KNOW how big their heads get when we say nice stuff!

This should be a good experience. I have all my papers ready and copies of bloodwork.

Questions from most important, "What is the quickest route to Bass and Pro Shop?" to least important, "Treatment?"

He's located just off Sunshine St....go west on Sunshine until you get to Campbell...turn left and you will see it on your right. It's about 3 miles, I think.

Go East on the interstate when leaving the hotel and then take Hwy 65 South to Sunshine where you will turn west...when you go over the railroad trcks he is right there behind the McDonalds.

Now when you leave, rather than taking a right to the east...go left...just like Lymetoo says...however...don't worry about it...you can't miss it...if you do...there must be something fundamentally wrong with you...ha, ha.

I just saw him for the first time about a month ago.
I stayed at the same place Krystal Aire.
I think that is the spelling.
They first did the vision test like Dr S talks about. The one you can do on line. It has something to do with toxins and your eyes.
Be sure and take copies of all your records and make a your history of your illness.
I did not think he would actually read all of these but he sat there and read everything I brought. He commented about some of the tests and he looks you over.
I have had that flue like achiness and I never had anyone to talk to that felt it. I read about others feeling fluie but I was not sure what I felt was the same thing. Also I have excessive sleepiness and those things were the worst and then the pain was not sevier until about 4-5 years ago. I wantd to know if the lyme had cause all this.
I got sick in 1987 so after over 20 Drs and all kinds of labels I think I finally know what it was. He reasurred me that lyme is what it has been. He will give you some of the best information in handouts. My thoughts are they are his research based on the patients he sees. He writes how many patients he has do this or that test and how many were positive and he does this with them all the things he does. So you can see how many people responded to each test or treatment. He highly stresses clean water and healthy food. This is in the handout.
I live in Tn and had to drive across Mo and it was a nice drive and the people in MO were all the friendlest you could ever meet.
Sorry for the spelling it is late I took a stimulant to late in the afternoon and that is why I am up.
I was not sure who to see but with Dr C you are in very good hands. I checked that I would like prayer and we all held hands and he prayed. My husband drive me. It was over 500 miles. I go back in Sept. They will have you make a phone appt in two months.
He gave me 5 prescriptons to change antibiotics every month and if one did not work go to the next. He does not want you to work through a herx. YOu back off and try again.

Yep Yep Yep!!!!!!!!!! All everyone had to say is right on!!! He is the best!!!!!!!!!! You can ask him anything and he does not pressure you to do anything you are not comfortable with. I know you will be getting well soon!!!! I acutally look forward to my Dr. appt with him Now that is a 1st. He is so caring about all of us and so brave about being so open about treating lymes.

Springfield is a great town so have alot of fun there too. There is so much to do in that area. Take care and many blessings to you!

Hey fogged...You'll have to drive down here to see me and paint the town red! Only problem is that we are in the middle of Vietnam Veterans Homecoming....expecting 50,000 people on top of our usual 40,000 per day average.
