I experiencing increased spasming(?) of my left index finger over the past few days. Almost constant involuntary movement. It came and went a few months ago. But since i upped my does of mino recently it is driving me crazy. muscle pain in the same arm. Has anyone experienced a herx like this? on mino? I gues it's the constant question "Am I getting worse or better?"
thanks

Sounds like a herxy jerksie! I doubt you can get worse while taking abx....just my feelings after 5yrs of experience. At least the odds are in your favor that it's a herx!

Thanks LT. It's just scary when you seem to be leveling and then you get something that is worse than it was before abx. Everything races through your mind with all the talk of other diseases being the result of lyme. It makes me want to stop abx to see if I get better, but if I do then I'll kick myself because it was a herx and was on it's way to making me better. Do others have the same experiences out there? For me this started in '01 with typical onset(didn't know at the time what it was) and started treatment in '03 off an on since then. Just when you think you are doing fine something starts smacking you around again. Extremely frustrating.

If I'm an example, DON'T go off antibiotics. I too went "off and on" for years and I'm in a worse place than I was from the get-go.

I too have spasms and other symptoms since starting a tougher regimen of antibiotics.

I am having a herx, and I would bet that you are too.

Hang in there!

Thanks Monica! Hope you will feel better soon. What kind of spasms are you having? When I see that finger moving by itself it drives me crazy. I can take the pain part but it those little things that really drive me over the edge.

thanks for the advice.
